So, Thirteen Years ago now I Finally did it. "IT" being I finally pounded. I mean I Really did Pound. Yes, after Twenty Years of Flying Blissfully, I had to pound. But I survived. I so hope to get back to Flying again. So, when John can swing it, He will come up here. We will Take Zacks Condor to some Training Hill where after thirteen Years. I will have a chance to Demonstrate to John that i can still Fly.

I have had about 10 dreams where Greblo and windsports are flying from Red Hill in San Anselmo and some how making restricted landings in small parking lots. Its all very professional and a nice cultural club behind it all but it seems to be in an alternate reality yet flying hang gliders is fun where ever it may occur.

Thanks Doug.

I've also had quite a few flying dreams over the years, but I only thought to start this topic this year. :(

Dreams in general are very fleeting. I'm not up on the latest research, but I believe they are the result of neural processing that represents consolidation of memories and other "house keeping" operations in the brain. I suspect that we're not generally supposed to be aware of dreams, but they sometimes slip through to our consciousness ... especially when we wake up unusually.

When I was very young I used to have both flying dreams and swimming dreams. The swimming dreams were like flying underwater. In those swimming dreams I was aware of some ability to get oxygen from the water. Of course, anything is possible in dreams. :)

Flight Dreams:

OK has now been Thirteen Years Four Months, Eighteen Days since I Flew last! I have to say; "Me so Horney". At this Moment in time, I want to Fly so Bad. Mentally I am just, in My Mind. My Brain is reeling. But in My mind, I had a good XC Flight last night. Heck for Me the Dream of My Flying goes on.

So here I am, I have been grounded for Thirteen Years, Seven Months, Twelve Days. So lately I have been Dreaming about Flying the Greatest Hang Glider Ever! Yes I dream of My Flying my Predator. But do You think that I wake up after Dreaming about Flying My Predator High, and Far. No, not Me. I dreamt about first, I sunk out, then upon My Landing I Whacked! Talk about a horrible Dream! Yes, I had Yet another Flying Nightmare!

Well for the last 13 Years I am sorry to say; that the only flying that I have Done is to Fly a 2 Swat Grobe Sail. Flying the Grobe out of Byron Airpark. Well, I had My introduction to Three Axis controlled Flight. I flew in the front seat and Mikeal Schnieder Flew in the Back Seat of a Grobe Two Seat Sail Plane. Other than having some Trouble with PIO while under Tow. The Flights went great, The Raw Performance that these Gliders have is amazing! Like those of You who have made the Transition from HGs to Sail-Planes. I am sure that You like Me were really taken aback by How One Must make a Transition regarding Your Sink rate and your GLIDE IS JUST INCREADIBLE. After My Second Flight. Mikeal and I were standing next to the Grobe talking. Well, I said to Mikeal; "Mikeal: Get Your Head up. Smile, look Good, Look happy. Because We just had a Good Flight. Do not look so depressed. We will Fly XC on My Third Three Axis controlled Sail Plane Fite. We Both laughed.

So in an effort to Stay on Subject. I had a Drean again last night, well actually it was a Nightmare. I have had this same Nightmare before. Ok, so I am Flying an XC Route. Everything is going great. Then I begin to Sink. I mean i sink down low enough that I must choose a place to land. I commence a DWB Just like I always Do, but upon Flaring My Predator I Whack My Beloved Predator!

Ok Yes, I am currently a non-Flying Predator Pilot. The reason that currently that I am not flying. is because My last Flight ended with Me Pounding Myself into the ground Thirteen Years, Seventeen Days ago and counting. I want to Fly so badly can barely stand it much longer. But, when Spring comes and the Weather gets warmer, my friend John will come up to Northern California, Well John and I will go do what We did many times in the Past, we will go and Fly!

Another Pilot friend of Mine Zack Majors will be letting me Fly his Three Thirty Wills Wing Condor. Ok I know that I will only be Flying off a training Hill, Most likely The amount of time for a Flight will only take Seconds. I Doubt that A Flight on Zacks Condor will only last seconds. Well-being the Condor was designed as a Way for a rank Beginner to leave the Ground. Coupled with How Wills Wing Tends to instead of when they design a Glider. They do not do research as to Test Flying a Prototype, then learn where the Glider Design is deficient, Make Design changes. Then release a Finished Product. A case of Examples are their Falcon One, Falcon Two and so on. They will find design errors after the Glider is Marketed. then change the Design having made changes. i doubt that this case of a Condor's Divergent Problem will be addressed being that it is a Glider that is intended to fly more or less straight down a Bunny Hill. But Man, Can you imagine working a Thermal for lift while Flying a Three Hundred Thirty Square Foot Glider!
