But now we hear from the CSS pres about behind-the-scenes machinations. See below. Now, CSS press Jeff, will you install back the posts and the blocked posters? What is hurting to one's ears may not be hurting to others' ears; let the issues be discussed openly. Else the good gems will be throw out with the dross.

INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTS. new
I leave for two weeks and I see very little posted about your flights. Thanks to those who did post pilot reports, pictures and videos, it is greatly appreciated by most of us. This is a flying club & the forum is intended to be used for that purpose. Weather, pilot reports, equipment, safety, events and so on.
Several weeks ago a few topics were posted that were getting a bit heated up. Those posting on those subject matters were asked to " relax an take a deep breath " for awhile.
It didn't last long and the" debates" were on.
When you sign up to be forum contributors, you are notified at that time that it is monitored. Keeping it simple, "inappropriate comments" can and have been deleted over the years by the CSS adm. or BOD members who have editing privileges.
In recent weeks myself and the BOD have been receiving, texts, emails & phone calls about certain subject matters getting out of hand. I asked the BOD to allow it to continue for a bit more to give them some freedom to speak. Reluctantly by some, they went along with my suggestion.
You saw for yourselves, that didn't turn out to well for me, or you. You had to endure through that also. After the lines were crossed and peoples names, clubs and accusations & inappropriate comments started, so did the deletions. Not wanting to totally delete some persons comments, I left part of there statements, just eliminated peoples names, etc. It may have looked like someone was trying to change some ones viewpoints, but it wasn't intended to. Trust me, i'm not that smart.
The fact of the matter is, Dave Hards did very little, if any deleting. So whoever was stating that was completely wrong in there assumptions. I apologized to Dave personally, & here publicly after returning back to CA . I don't have a problem manning up to my mistakes.
As a matter of fact, I posted a response to a posting yesterday that was considered inappropriate to this web site by fellow BOD. It was meant to have some humor, but not appreciated by some. It was discussed by some, and deleted as well. Hell, even the pres gets some of his postings/comments deleted.
I can tell you I won't lose any sleep over it and either should you. I would also thank those who acted responsibly by deleting my response. It's pretty easy to get sucked into the drama sometimes. They have proven to me they want what's best for you, the CSS members.
Fly Safe!
