i remember oh i am not so sure of how long ago it was. But it was somewhere around Twenty thirty years ago. but back then i hooked up with a pilot friend of mine km. Well km and i drove to King mountain idaho. well i remember at king being told the the 18,0000 foot Ceiling had been lifted at the king mountain Air Space. I did not hear how far a pilot could Fly away From KIng and exceed 18,000 feet MMsl. but it would have been very cool to have gotten that High while remaining Legal with the FAA. i was a bit of a Rooky Back then, heck as of late i feel like a rookie. Guys what i typed, just now waas my effort at a little humor. I have learned that when i try to type some humor. that i should also type out a disclaimer notice. So consider being made aware that i was just trying to type some Trash-Talk. if it could be done legally, i would love to Climb to over Twenty thousand feet. but i must be a responsible Pilot. i have flowin gliders since Nineteen Ninety. Yet i have never been over fifteen Thousand Feet, I know, i know, sad but True.

What always trips Me out is when I land after an XC Flight. How the People who are where i would land would simply be amazed that I g=had just Flown from where I told the, I had launched from to where We were both standing. I realize that what i just wrote is somewhat redundant, but it is what has happened. it is not just Me who has had fun experiences after sinking out and landing in a Field somewhere. My friend scott H once landed in a Field that was part of a Prison up in Sonoma. Well Scott put a Post up on the Sonoma Wings Bulletin Board. I recall Scott I believe Scott Titled the post something like: "IToday I sunk out and landed in a Prison, I had to Break out of Jail. I like Flying With Scot, Scot is a Good Pilot. Flight Experiences such as these are Great Fun. I just Hope and Pray that I have more Experiences up in the Air. Also looking back some of the Experiences on the Ground can also be Fun.

Ok this is off topic. But then again maybe it is not totally off Topic. being that i only know about my bloof glucose being that i lived in a couple of hospitals for far longer than i should have. well being that all of you are lie me; human. i just wonder if any of you have any comments regarding one's optimum Off Peak Blood Glucose Number. Well I, My Sister, an attending Doctor Who I believe has a Pretty good Handle on these Things, and Myself all agree that an off Peak Blood Glucose number of 85 is the Optimal Off-Peak Blood Glucose Number. My Best todate was over Seven Days. I experienced an 88.8 Average over Seven Days without a single Day Being Over 100.

What Say You?

Gurs; You know I feel as if I have, and i also have no Doubt that this Journey back to Normalcy has more Twists and turns in store for Me. But there have been some uplifting moments though. Take a Phone call I had with John today. I was talking about Flying with John.? Heck what else would we talk about other than Flying? Well We always seem to talk about stand out Pilots, such as Micki, KM, Tammi B, Larry, Kari K , Mark L. Well the common denominator with these stand out Pilots is They all seem to share a similar universal Quality. They all seem, or seemed to Demonstrate an intense love of being in the Air. John said regarding Larry's Flying that Larry was a very tenacious Detrended Pilot. I totally concur with the thought that being up in the Air is better than being on the ground. I have come to the realization that I must mot just talk about it. I need to realize that I need to make strides, yes I need to really raise My overall Game. For example; In the morning, I will after I eat My Breakfast. I will Be putting My Left Arm and Shoulder through a good Work-out. I Flew Hang Gliders For Twenty Years 1990 - 2010. If I do Not Fly till after March Twenty Eighth 2013. it will be Thirteen Years since I Flew My last Flight.

But By Hook, or By Crook. I will Fly again. So this Spring almost like a Person asks Perspective Bride; Do You gave A {RING} and a Date? Well with Ne who oplans on Flying again: I have a {WING} and a Date. Well I have a {SEASON} Yes come this Spring I will be hopefully anyways. I will be the OPhoenix Guy in the Sky.

OK, here I a\m. I am in the midst of developing a Flight Plan. So Here it is: I will procure Myself a small Tent to sleep in when I come down South in March. I want to attend the OTTO meet. John and I have Plans to do some Flying together. I need to get my ratings back. i also want to get a rHG rating from John that I never had before I pounded. that HG Rating iis an XW rating! So I will post updates as I accomplish things up here so that I will be able to come down South.

This so cool, you guys have simply no idea how it will feel to me when my feet leave the Ground for the first time in Thirteen Years, Heck I so not know how it will Feel like. Thirteen Years im My opinion ias too long to not have a "SINGLE FLIGHY!".

Otto L. and brother started out with a 50-sq. ft wing. Their tiny hop flights exercised their bodies and minds leading to a world-changing demonstration in a later period of glider development.
https://www.wondersofworldaviation.com/otto-lilienthal.html wrote:Lilienthal was bom at Anklam, Germany, in 1848. When he was sixteen he went to the Potsdam Technical School (near Berlin), where he was trained as an engineer. Before this, however, he had become interested in aviation, and, with his brother, Gustavus, made several aeronautical experiments. The brothers fastened light wings to their arms and attempted to glide by running down-hill.

Hold a one-square-foot wing, perhaps a wing at each end of a bar. Walk into the wind with this small wing. Rotate the bar to change the angle of attack of the wing. When ready: walk off a six-inch cliff with the wing into the wind; so a short glide flight with this arrangement. Such will be a real flight. The whole exercise might be part of physical-training program. When I cannot get to my regular hang gliding launches, I do mini flights at home on the street and lawns and sidewalks; sometimes my wings are just my arms and hands; at other times my wings are cardboard and plastic sheet, etc. My running is good for the legs and helps me keep in shape for larger-wing days.

wELL I HOPE TO ROLL INTO tOWN ON EITHER fRIDAY mAY 26TH or earlier. I will after Thirteen Plus Years be back in My Prime environment, That would be the Sky.. Well ever since I pounded Myself into the ground, it will Be thirteen Years Since I flew since My last ill fated Flight, and the Pound that almost took My Life. But almost is the active word. Yes I almost Died. But it was a Case of Close but No Cigar. You Guys really do not know how i feel right now. For i will be the Hang One, that is if John will sign Me off after he observes My Flying. I will I am almost Positive that i will be the pilot who john has ever given an HangOne sign-off to who has the most cross Country flights of any pERSON THAT jOHN HAS SIGNED Off on as a Hang One. I believe that I will if that is that I will show skills that John determines warrants His decision to indeed sign Me of on My Hang One. A Pilot friend told my Sister in A condescending tone that I would merely be slope soaring. Slope Soaring! Heck after My First Flight in well over a Decade. If the Flight is a "MERE SLOPE SOARING FLIGHT" I really do not care if I will be onl slope Soaring. What I belIeve every one must realize is that My Wing will not have any Idea of what type of Flying I am Doing. Also myself, I will be in Ecasity because I will actually be in the Air!
