Fly. Just land where you have not been invited and are not paying a charge to land, and have not been told not to land.
Think as a walker with an umbrella; while in the air think and act as an excellent pilot. Be not running a business with your flying. Be not part of an event in your flying. Be a recreational kite flyer.
Fly in such manner that you fulfill F.A.A. airspace regulations.
Avoid injuring other people or property in the air or on land.
Have a signed personal waiver in hand that might be used in case of an incident; hand it over to injured property owner or injured person; state (if you wish and will) that you hold all harmless while you take all responsibility for any injury you may have caused (crops, roof, antenna, car, arm, life, cat, fence, ... ).
You need not have a membership card to any entity or club or association. You may state that you are a recreational kite flyer.
