He Who Can Not be Named

Hey everybody, I think Bob should change his US Hawks user name to "He Who Can Not be Named".

That way, on those other forums, every time someone refers to "He Who Can Not be Named" they would be talking about our very own "He Who Can Not be Named" (aka Bob K)!

And if Davis or Jack decide you can't use that reference, but some other, then "He Who Can Not be Named" could change his user name to that!

Clever, ain't I? :) :D  :srofl: . . . . :wtf:

While relevant, let's not go toward the dark side. I think what happened this last Sunday has "He who should not be named" in a positive position, with others being named as the defendant(s).

D.A. is in process of deciding PLAINTIFF status as you predict/suggest.

Two things truly amaze me:

  1. ... that anyone (such as Jack Axaopoulos or Davis Straub) would have the audacity to tell full grown men what names they can't use ("Bob" or "Scott") and what web sites they can't reference ("ushawks.org" or "ushgrs.org").

  2. ... that full grown men would actually obey them and patronize their web sites under those conditions.
Of the two, the second is more amazing ... and it enables the first.

It's also important to remember that all censorship arises from fear. Jack, Davis, and USHPA fear the power of the truth, and that's why they go to such extremes in creating their own little "iron curtains" to keep "their people" in the dark.

They fear phrases like "recreational use statutes", "FAR Part 103", "PDMC", "due process", "transparency in accident reporting", "fair review of bans", and "open voting records". It's their fear that causes such irrational behavior (such as expelling people for testifying in court, and banning people for mentioning other pilots).

Fear is a powerful force and it often leads to panic. That's what we're witnessing as USHPA implodes and as participation continues to drop on the other "major" forums.

I got a call from Ben Reese a little while ago. He's really an amazing human being. A few years ago I would never have imagined we'd be friends. But here we are.

Ben passed on a quote:

Without transparency, democracy dies.

That's a very good quote, and I told him I'd post it on the U.S. Hawks Forum.

So I came to the forum and I did a search for the word "transparency" and this is the topic that was at the top of the list. I think Ben's quote is in very good company here.
