You know for Me anyways it is just so cool to have this Site where I am able to put up Posts such as this one. You Guys do not really know me for the most part, but You seem to embrace My chattering about My aspirations to once again to Fly My Beloved Predator. You know Maybe, just Possibly the Current Greatest and Latest Topless Gliders will finally be able to Fly Further than My Predator. Well as that old saying Goes; "Time will Tell". The last time that I had to appraise My Predators ability to go far was way Back when, before I had my Accident 11 Years ago. Well My Friend Scott and I both Flew the same route. Both of us launched From Wolf's Peak Sonora Pass California. we Both flew the same route flew in the same air. I landed in Gardnerville Nevada. Scott landed short I do not know where He landed. But let Me make this perfectly clear; Scott was flying a Laminar MR 700 Top Less, and I was flying My 158 Predator., Scott currently was down in the Owens Valley flying with Zac Majors, where they were flying 250 or so mile XC Flights. I want to be Forth right, Gracious, and Honest here. Scott is a very good Pilot. He can Fly XC with the best of them, I pale in comparison to being able to fly compared to Scott. It was just that I had the Better Glider, PREDATOR!

I was talking to John the other Day. Well John said that Today that the newest Topless Glider were very capable Gliders. So Maybe when I return to Flying the Days of My flying the furthest will be finally gone. That saying; "You Can't Argue with Success" comes to mind when I think about My Predator. I love my Predator what an awesome Glider!

Well I am fully aware of the fact that My Predator may not be able to go the furthest on a Given day at a given site. So maybe I will have to be content with just Flying. After 11 Years 5 months of inactive non Flying due to my pounding Myself into the Ground. I have no when I AM DOWN AT Dockweiler BEACH. even though My fi Flight on an Wills Wing Condor this will be just so Awesome to be Airborne once again.

Also Sorry for where I got onto other pages. I will stay on this "TURNING AND BURNING" Page for now on.

Ok this about it for Now. I just want to Fly!

PLEASE HAVE JOE FAUST READ THIS:

I remember back when I was in High School we had a Track and Field competition. Well Mark W Who stood like 6'6" told the fellow running the Competition said that He would start competing when the Pole was set I think I recall Mark said that he would start competing when the Bar got to Six Feet, it was impressive. I mean this was High School!

And to think that Jumping a Horse over a 7' Jump was doing pretty well? Trust Me, A Horse that is able to Jump Higher than 7' is Rare Air, When I was 14 years old. I saw Twinkie Nissan jump her Horse Crocodile 7'4"". Crocodile was a powerful jumper. Both My Mother Sandra McKeon, and My Sister Kathleen McKeon both say that Twinkie could ride a Horse. I remember that My Sister said to Me; "Twinkie had the Perfect Eye".

Hello Everyone;
{ MY MORE OR LESS ASPIRATIONS}

I thought about starting a New Thread. I might have called it; "MY BUCKET LIST THOUGHTS" I am a little bit off topic today But in My World my aspirations regarding how I want to Fly so Badly, coincide with My other Aspirations such as how I hope to regain My Drivers License. For I need to drive in order to be able to drive Myself to Jobs. I am a General Contractor by the way. I want to do More XC Flying, and do as the Great Micky did. Fly XC Sans Driver. Well Micky beng the great Pilot that He was, Take note: I|t is not only John who thinks that Micki is the greatest Pilot that He ever saw. I too believe Micki is the baddest Pilot that I ever saw. The accolades that can be lavished upon Miki are just so many. I mean Miki would launch, I witness Miki launching on a low wind Day down at Crestline, while only having one Leg! I was told that Miki would fly XC without a Driver! He would strap his crutch inside His wing, then upon landing He would hop to the side of the road, where He would put his Thumb out and thumb a ride. Can You say Spirit!

Well I Myself have far more realistic ambitions. For I want to Fly again. I want to fly an XC FLIGHT OF 100 miles, in four hours or less. I know that flying an XC route in under 4 Hours is very doable on the right Day, flying the right sot. Msyb the Owens Valley, yes the Owens on a good day.
"Or Less" Less would be Better.

I would Love to Fly My Predator to 25,000 feet or Higher. I need to do research a to if this could be be done here in the United States, Could it be done Legally?
I continue to put Money aside so that I can complete my Plymouth road-runner. I want to compete in Silver-State Road Race. Yes I hope to be able to run 200 Miles an Hour or More, preferably More than 200 Miles an Hour. I am quite fond of; "Or More". really though I like other things that seem to be part of My Vocabulary. I want to Jump a Horse over a 7' high fence or Higher. also. For those of You Who know little regarding Jumping a Horse. A Horse that is capable of jumping seven feet or More, that is rare Air!

"YOU CAN'T ARGUE WITH SUCCESS"

I really do feel as though I should change My Handle. For I was previously Called; "The Big Guy" as in ; "The Big Guy in the Sky". Well being that I lost a Hundred pounds, I do not see how I can be known as "The Big Guy in the Sky" anymore. Calling Me The Big Guy would not go over very well. John and I were talking, John said that I would be blown away by how much Better My Climb rate would be now that I have dropped so much weight. I can't wait to do some Turning and Burning.

I want to fly like I never wanted to Fly before my accident. Another thing to consider. The way I lost so much weight went like this; [Step One] I Pounded myself into the Ground, and nearly died. I spent Three Months in s Coma. But there is a caviatte, My recovery is now approaching 11 and a Half Years in time of Me being on the ground now. The way I lost weight, and yes the Way I lost One Hundred Pounds of weight works. But it is not for the Faint of Heart. For one must first almost Die. No, weak Nellies need not apply.

You Guys really truly do not know how eager I am right now. For I am looking forward with such eager anticipation to when I will Fly a HG again. I am right now here Today I weigh just 210 Lbs. John told me that I would be so blown away by how well I will be able to Climb now that I have lost so much weight. I have Flown My Predator while Flying with Water Ballast at a Hook in weight of 340 Lbs. I enjoyed great control authority, I had such a nimble responsive Glider when Flying packing all that extra weight. I flew Three Flights while packing all that Ballast. I experienced No-Step Landings. The Predator is such a good landing Glider though. The Pilot simply needs to feel for when to initiate the Flair, and hit it!

Landing My Predtor enabled Me to get to where I was "Pure Confidence" when it came to being able to land.

While you're waiting ... please enjoy this cute video featuring Joe Montana. I think part of it was filmed at Dockweiler Beach.

Chris McKeon wrote:Bob Your Point is well taken. And John Himself told Me the other Day that I would see that Topless Gliders have been refined to increase their Performance so that I will be seeing the Performance advantage that They have myself. That may very well ight be the case. maybe a new topless will be able to out fly an Laminar MR 700. Or Heck maybe a new Top less Glider will be able tout Fly Me and My Predator. Bot if this Is the case, The Predator 158 set the Bar high, very High, way Back oh I do not know how long ago John designed the Predator. But oh what a Glider a Predator was!

I think it was in 1978 that I saw John do 6 loops with smoke in Telluride. Was he flying a predator model?

I really do not know the e Time line for a Predator regarding when John and Dick and the others had put together the Predator. So if I talk to John Tomorrow I will ask Hi, aND i WILL POST Johm's response to My query regarding the Predators Evolution.

Regarding observing John while He is Looping. The Best place to observe John looping is to be directly above Him while He us Looping. What a View! I just loved it.
