TURNING AND BURNING.

So, I am starting this New Page. It will be kept up as hopefully it will be a page where Pilots will contribute their thoughts, ideas, and their raw Knowledge regarding Flying XC. Because I for one just love Flying XC. So do not forget what Anita Bryant said: "A Day With-Out X-C, is like a Day With-Out Sunshine"

An XC Flight that I hope to have is: To Fly One-Hundred Miles in Four Hours or Less. So where and when would be optimal to attempt this kind of a Flight? I was thinking that Maybe say the Owens Valley. What are your thoughts regarding doing this kind of a Flight?

MY THOUGHTS PLUS SOME TYPED HUMOR ALSO:

You know Guys, regarding YOU hawk members. I am quite sure that I have never met one of you Face to Face. Yet I think of you Guys as my Brothers up in the Sky! Well for Me the fact that I have never met any of you matters not. SPIRIT: For Me anyways I never planned on digging deep into the Bag that I have laying around here labeled SPIRIT. Well after I pounded My self into the Ground on March 28th 2010. I really found that I needed to dig deep into that Bag and grab a handful of Spirit, then I ate it. This experience and the corresponding recovery has been quite a challenging one. It has, and it is quite Daunting. But, there always is a But, So here is my But. I have simply refused to go along with my Doctors Prognosis's. I have always felt like I have been in this recovery proses to WIN it! Besides I still have some to date unattained goals: Such as to fly My Predator 100 miles in Four Hours or less, To Fly My Predator to 20,000 feet or More! 20,000 feet or more legally if possible. To be able to bench-Press my own body weight. Also I want to be able to Play My Gibson SG as well as Angus Young, not better than Angus, just as good as Angus. I want t be able type as fast as My Father once typed, that would be 121 words a minute. 121 Words a Minute! That will be a tough one for sure.

Bobs's girlfriend please take note here: Even though finding a Horse that is capable of jumping 7', 7' or more. This is not a common Horse, But I will get me a good Jumping Horse maybe a Through-bred or a Warm-Blood. A friend of My Mothers once had a powerful Jumper an appaloosa named Crocodile, that Twinky Nissan who jumped Crocodile to a Height I think I recall correctly that Crocodile Jumped 7'4". For most of you who know nothing regarding Horses that Can jump 7', 7' or more! A horse that is capable of jumping Seven feet is quite rare.

i am choosing this Post to be My Go to Post here on the Hawks Web-Site. That way I will not clutter up the Board with my Posts.

It is fun, Fun for Me, that I will be able in a very small way to still be able to involve my self with Hang Gliding. So, my Flight crew is coming together. John will be my Crew Chief. Frank will provide the Glider that I will Fly. Bob will be in charge with the set-up of the Condor. And I hope to have some other Pilots there. Pilots such as Scott, Pilot-X, Dave-C, and who else, well at this timer I do not know. It looks likje my First Flight well if IT TOOK Place tomorrow, it would be 4 Months, 7 Days. Can you say; "Pilot Rust?"

Thanks Chris. That's a good idea. Thanks.

The sport of hang gliding is in a state of desperation. I will quote Rick Masters from March 21, 2015: "People talk about the sport of hang gliding dying. It's not dying. It's being murdered. By the U$hPA.". Hang gliding needs people willing to speak up to save it. Everyone who speaks up is helping hang gliding in a big way. The pen is mightier than the sword.

I will happily help set up your glider. But I think I can provide another service. I hold the current record of 201 flights and 201 carries back up the hill at Dockweiler. I would be honored to carry your glider for you on every flight. That will preserve your strength for more flights.

I think you will find pilots lining up to help you back into the sky and to fly there along with you.

Well I have already spoken to John. I have designated John My Crew-Chief for when I make my First Flight in, well right now if I flew today it would Be 11 Years Four Months. To feel the Harness Straps become tight for the first time in over Eleven Years, the experience will be intoxicating, Uphoria. Yes My Life will be correct down there at Dockweiler Beach.

You Guys really have no idea how it feels for Me to simply think about my quite Possible returning to my rightful Home, The Sky!

Thank You to all of You who have, and will be there for Me to be able to say feel, and to be able to know that I am 100 percent recovered.

Good By; The Future Phoenix Guy In The Sky.

This Page should be called: "TIRNING, BURNING, AND DRIVING. For I used to be able to Drive a Golf Ball around 350 Yards. I did have a problem with how straight My Ball would go down range. I would often hit a Hook, or a Slice. But the ball would go far. Yes I could smack a Golf Ball. this is something that my accident toook from Me. Hell about two or three Years after I pounded I quite often would Swing and then Fall Down. I today currently can not drive a Ball far, yrs I am only capable of driving a Ball about maybe 175 Yards! Can you say Pathetic? Yes regarding my ability to drive a Golf Ball. The distance of ny drives are pathetic. And to think that my Fathers Father shot in the Low Sixties. My Grand father could of played Professional Golf But back then there was no money to be made by one's ability to play Golf well, This is a true story. My Grand Father had quit playing Golf when a Friend o Him said "John here it is that you have quite playing Golf. But You were so good at Playing Golf" My Grandfather replied, by saying: "But now I can no longer Break 80" To quite playing, to quite playing the game of Golf because you are no longer able to break 80, are you Nuts?

But rest assured I will regain My Drive. Yes oh Yes give Me back my 300 Hard Drive. FLYING: Also let the day happen when I fly My Glider 100 Miles in under 4 Hours. Give Me a Day down in the Owens, a day with a nive Tail wind. I will need to be on top of my game that Day. Yes I need not loose too much time Thermalliung.

Hello all You US HAWK PILOTS>

You know all of you have never Met Me. Though there are a Couple Pilots that are mutual quaintness's, such as Joe Spinney, RM , as in Pilot X. Dave Clement, and some others. I know that almost all of you know John Heieney, Heck Everyone who Fly's a Hang Glider knows John Heieney. So9 You might want to when you Run into John, ask John about Me I am confident that John will have good things to say regarding My Character. Also I have absolutely no doubt that John will say that I can Fly, yes that I can Fly well, that I am a very good Pilot. Please just cut Me some slack for this rambling, Blathering Posts. I just thought some of you might enjoy reading this rambling nonsensible Post. But regarding my Blathering, I have a Get out of Jail Free Card. For I experienced having a severe Head Injury. But that was 11 Years ago. This Now. I have been working, working harder than I ever imagined that I was capable of before when I pounded Myself into the Ground 11 Years ago.

Well now UI am a Man with a Plan. I absolutely must regain my Drivers License. So that I will be able to Drive Myself to Jobs. You see I am a General Contractor, and as a Contractor I am dead in the water with out my CDL. There is no way that I could use Public Transportation as a means for Me to get to work.

Ok this about all I have the Blather about. Who knows? Maybe one of You and I will share the same thermal some Day.

So, I just Got off the phone with Bob K. I say Bub K, because some of my friends do not want their name mentioned in a Post. Hence That is How I came up with the manicure "Pilot -X' . Pilot-X after I had wrote a write up regarding a Day of flying called Me and Chastised me for using His actual name. I just thought that He was being an insecure Freak-out. So every since that very strange Phone Call I have referred to him as Pilot-X.

FLYING: AND MY PREDARTOR;

I was Talking with John on the phone this morning. WE were talking about Flying, Primarily about My Flying My Predator. Heck who else should I talk to? John designed the Glider. Well I believe that it went like this. I asked Him; John will I still be able to fly Further than Topless Gliders like I used to be able to? I told John; "the last Topless Glider that I out Flew was a Laminar MR 700 that was flown on the same Day, the same route as My Predator. I landed in Gardnerville Nevada. I am not sure where Scott landed. But I know that where Scott landed was shorter in distance than where I landed, I just want to say, to make very Clear here is that I believe that Scott is a much better XC Pilot than I am. So in a nutshell, Scott and I both launched from the same launch yet the Predator flew farther than the Laminar MR 700 Top less. I want to say again that Scott is a very good XC Pilot. Relative to Me Scott really is a Better XC Pilot than I am.

Well all that I said be dammed. John told Me that the New Topless Gliders would out Distance My Predator.

So what is the hottest, the Best Topless Glider on the Market today? Does any one have any good impute for Me to chew on>

Feel free to use my full name if you like (although "Bob" or "Bob K." is much easier to type). I do have some concerns about retaliation, but sometimes we need to stand up and be counted.

Alright Bob. it is so nice that I can call you by your name. I just must remember what is so important for Me to remember regarding what to call You. I just need to remember to not be late or forgetful regarding calling You for dinner.

As far As how I am. I really am getting better and better each and every Day. I feel that the Day will come when I come down to Southern California to fulfil my Dream where I will be able to return to My true Home, the Sky! I want to Fly so Badly. I truly want to fly so badly. Not flying for 11 plus years has Me going Nuts. It just Trips Me out for I now have t get Myself Re-ratted. Yes after all these Years I will be once again a lowly Hang One.

I told Bob to not worry about Me for I will be able to: {Whack with the Worst of Them}
