The passing of Everard Cunion

Postby Bob Kuczewski » Sat Jul 02, 2022 3:39 am

It brings me great sadness to share the news that we recently lost U.S. Hawks member Everard Cunion.

Everard was a U.K. pilot, and he joined the U.S. Hawks a little over 2 years ago. Everard shared 43 posts with us in that time, and he gave the world a great hang gliding history web site at:

      https://hghistory.org/

Everard also gifted us with his hang gliding artwork. These are just a few examples:

Everard will be missed by many, and there is a Facebook page remembering him. Here's a quote from that page dated June 29, 2022:

Justin Parsons on Facebook wrote:It is with sadness that I report the passing of long time hang glider pilot, history of hg website owner & friend Everard Cunion.

He had been suffering from prostate cancer for around 4/5 years & died peacefully in his sleep in a hospice very close to his home in the early hours of this morning.
