Waiting on a Friend:

Postby Chris McKeon » Sat Jul 09, 2022 9:35 am

Dear Everyone:

Well here I am sitting at My Desk Typing away on My Computer. What I should be doing is getting My Flying Gear ready For I hope to Fly a Gigantic Wills-Wing Condor. When I Fly that 330 Condor of George's it will be My first Flight in as of the 38th. It will have been Twelve Years Three Months since that Faitful Sunday when I pounded Myself almost into non existence.\\

But Contrary to what Those {EXPERTS} My Doctors Prophesized that would become of Me; "DEATH". I did not follow the Prognosis that My Doctors Had envisioned For. No I had no intention of wasting away. Anyways, think about it. Just how Much are-time could I get if I was Dead? I am not being a {DRAMA QUEEN} here. But when You injure Yourself badly enough Doctors simply Wright You off. My Doctor at the Time said to My Sister; "That I would never be much better than an Potato, and that I would bever walk again".

Well Here I am waiting to hear from My Friend Pilot-X. For He will be the one Who will Drive Myself, and George's W-W 330 Condor to either The Beach or an In-Land Traing Site. Where I will walk that Huge Glider into the air.

But for now i am Waiting, yes simply I am waiting for Pilot-X.

Fly, Me? Hope that My Driver is not AWOL.

Postby Chris McKeon » Sun Jul 10, 2022 4:13 pm

Doctors Do not believe in encourage Free Flight. Well if i said to onw of the Doctors Wo attended My near Dead Body 12 Years ago. I do believe that they would Frown on My ever Flying again. But to Fly again is something that I think about almost constantly. When Pilot-X Picks Me up and we go to either an Inland training Site, or maybe we will go to the Coast, then I will hopefully Fly George's WW 330 Condor. his Weekend X was AWOL. But I sure hope that Next weekend works out OK.

GOOD JUDGEMENT BE DAMMED, I AM GOING TO FLY!

For Me to have My first Flight in over Twelve Years Three Months, Will be My next Flight. In the Past before when I Pounded. I had one of the only semi-legitimate reasons for when why One Chose's not to Fly X-C, That reason; Lack of a Driver. Oh Wow! The only way that I will Fly that Big old Condor 330 is if Pilot-X loads that Bird on top of His Rig. Then I hope that He will drive over to My House here in the S-F East Bay Town of Brentwood California, and drives Me to a Flying site. For I am a Predator Pilot without a Drivers License.

CONDOR THOUGHTS:

I am really sort of Blown away by the Fact that Wills Wing decided to Make a Glider this Big! Think about it. Three Hundred and thirty Square feet. Three Hundred and Thirty square fee! Pilot-X said when WE were on the Training hill over in Benicia. Where I would have had MY first Flight in Twelve years. But that terrible trait of mine rose it's ugly Head. Could I have Launched, Yes I could of. But the wind was a Gusty, and Cross. i decided to Bag the Glider. I hate "GOOD JUDGEMENT"

Chris, I’ve got a cocoon harness for a six foot and two inch pilot.
I can’t remember if the EMT’s cut up the harness you pounded with.

Well here I am getting towards the End of My Journey. My Journey towards what will be My Re-Birth. My resurrection , My Re-Birth. For I will most Likely be finally be able to return to my True Home the Sky! I am so pumped just thinking that I might be able to be on a Launch, holding that Great Big, Huge 330 Wills Wing Condor Three Thirty. I hope to actually launch that Glider the next time I have the opportunity to launch that Big-Bird. Last Time that I was on Launch over at a Training Hill in Benicia, the wind was a little cross from the left. The Wind also was a little too Gusty. So I broke down, we then drove Home. I just hate the truly negative effect that Good-Judgement has on My getting Air-Time. Yes Good Judgement really does Suck!

flying gear questions:

I have an ICOM Radio. Where should I go to look for two things for the Radio? One: I need a pouch to hold My Radio when I Fly. Two: I need a Push t talk For My Radio.

Where should I go or do so that I can acquire these two Items?

AWOL. Heck I hate the Word. For far too Many of My Friends Have gone AWOL. Get this I have to experience loosing more Friends that will undo Utley will go AWOL as I age. That is if I do Continue to age. Most of You Must know that on Sunday March 28th. Due to My having miss managed the Flying of My Beloved Predator. Somewhere while I was on Finale. We do not know exactly what Happened. But I severely pounded into the Ground. Bu even though I was supposed to succumb to the injuries that I sustained due to My having impacting the Ground at such a High Speed. Doctors at John Muir Hospital where My Trashed Body was taken to. Well the Doctors Prognosis's was that I was not going to survive. But Heck I had no intention of following the suggestion that I would Die. I mean there is so much Flying left to do, for Me.

So My intention is To Fly a 330 Condor. That is if "X" drives Me to an launch, I will Set up that Huge Wills-Wing Condor. I will launch that big old Glider. Hell it Will Be Twelve Years Three Months since I last Flew. I jus Hope that I have not Forgotten how to fly a HG.

My general rough Plan is to first fly the Condor. Then I will Fly John's T2. Then after John does a IRAN to My Predator. I will fly my Predator1

well, I have been thinking about what Else? I think about Flying almost Constantly. You know I believe What Glider We might Fly might very well the difference between what each of US might Fly might be Different. But what drove us to start out on our grand adventures is very similar. I mean at their essence even Para Glider Pilots are in an direct way, are similar to Us HG Pilots. They purse the Quest to achieve Free-Flight. Granted I will most likely never fly a Para-Glider. For I do not have the Raw Courage. the Gut's that are Required in order for A person to take to The Air while Flying one of those Air-Craft. But Hel I say More Power o um.

Well I am in a waiting Game. I wait till Conditions, My Friend Pilot-X all come together. then I will Fly a Huge 330 Wills Wing Condor.

Well; Here i am on a nice Wednesday morning. I am boiling Two eggs for My Breakfast. I think that I am I am just under 200 pounds. For Monday when My scale worked. I was 198 lbs. my scale has ceased to function. I am hopping that it is simply the Battery that has ceased to power the Scale. Well the Battery is one of those flat Batteries I will just go to the Store and Buy a New Battery.

MY WEIGHT, MY WEIGHT REGARDING FLYING:

OK check this thought out:

I fly a Predator 158. I am a Guy who stands Just Under Six Feet Four inches tall. I stand Six Feet, and Three, and three Quarters of an inch tall. Well the last time when I stepped upon My Scale. I weighed One Hundred Ninety Eight Pounds. My eight the Day of My last Flight was Two Hundred Ninety Eight Pounds.

WEIGHT AND FLYING MY PREDATOR:

Well based upon My Weight, My weight Pre-Pound weight being just under Three Hundred Pounds. One would think that My Climb rate when working a Thermal would be Quite Low. Being that I had loaded My Predator up with so much Weight. But I enjoyed such a great Climb rate. I am sitting here thinking; Yes just thinking about How it will Be to fly while weighing for Me anyways a Svelte Sub-Two Hundred Pound Body Weight. My Goal is to Weigh One Hundred Eighty Five Pounds or Less.

But anyways; The way I see it. Being 100 Pounds lighter just has to be a benefit to My flying it must be a real positive. i am so looking Forward to When I will Fly My Awesome 158 Predator. Thank You John for designing a Masterpiece.

This Phoenix Will Fly.

Postby Chris McKeon » Fri Jul 15, 2022 8:09 am

Well here I am this Morning Contemplating My return to Free-Flight. My return to Free-flight should take place either tomorrow, or on Sunday. My Friend
Pilot-X and I will take that Great Big Wills-wing Condor to most like to the coast. That way for My First Flight in over 12 Years I will have some cool, smooth, Laminar Air in which to Fly in. I can not wait. I know that even though I will be Flying a super docile Single Surface Glider, in Mundane Costal; conditions. In spite of these factors, Big S-S Glider, Costal site, Good judgement will prevail. i just know that I will be more nervous than a; "Virgin on the Verge".

So I hope to have My Flight saved via Film. Well this Recovered Phoenix Pilot, fully intends on returning to My rightful place, My Home. My home is up in the Air.
