For better or worse, this year that date falls on a Friday which means that the Windsports school will likely be operating at Dockweiler State Beach in Los Angeles California. The "better" part is that there will be instructors there for lessons and rentals of hang gliders, helmets, and harnesses. The "worse" part is that it will cost a small amount to fly, and it will require USHPA membership (either permanent or temporary).
As an alternative celebration, Monday (May 26, 2025) will allow flying without USHPA membership and without paying a flying fee.
