I just got my first look at the new regulations for light aviation Mosaic. First there was foot launch ....then 155 pounds... Now it's stall speed 52 miles an hour. Will we be exempt from the regs? As someone who could not design a safe sailplane at 155 pounds, with this kind of stall speed rule........ it's a brave new world.

This might be a bit 'off-topic' but I'll put it here, in reference to the word 'Sport'.
The Sport of surfing was 'longboards', until short board 'hot dogging' came in about 1969.
The Sport of Alpine Skiing was two skies, until the snowboarding 'hot dogging' came in about 1989.
The Sport of Hang Gliding was an airframe glider, until the 'hot dogging' paraglider came in about 1989.
'hot dogging' was cheaper and easier and brought in a different culture of people.
I remember getting back from Vietnam in 69', and paddling out on my longboard to find 'hot doggers' all over the place yelling at me to "get out out of the way".
In 71' when I moved from Torrance Beach to Telluride and started Alpine Skiing that lasted until about 86' when a bunch of 'hotdogging' snowboarders came in and started sliding and jumping all over the place, making it harder to stay out of their way.
In 72', I was a part time 'roadie'. for the Telluride Airforce until 89' when a bunch of paragliders came to our mountain and started floating and 'crazy turning' all over the place, also making it harder to stay out of their way. Like the short boarders, snowboarders and paragliders, they were all over the place in numbers, and with 'attitudes', and now add 'pay to ride' paragliding to the mix and it's double hard.
With long surfboards, skis and hang gliders strapped to the tops of our cars, when we showed up, everybody knew exactly what we were doing.
When any old car(s) showed up without anything on top, we weren't sure until they took their stuff out of their trunk, and only then did we know who they were. Surfers, Skiers and "Hang Gliders" they called themselves with pride, but we called them, 'hotdoggers' with attitudes. Sure they were good but there were so many of them at our favorite spots, it was quite overwhelming, so we just didn't go anymore, why risk surfing, skiing or hang gliding in such 'crowds'?
We seemed much more conservative than they were and our sports were so much harder and more expensive to learn.
Now the word, 'Sport' seems less conservative and more 'liberal', and now the FAA is making it cheaper and easier for more, "Easy Riders' to come in,
and that's the end of my story, 'Sport.And even though my name is spelled crAIg, I didn't use this robot for anything in this.' :wave:

So far it's looks like if anything or one that flys under part 103 now....that activity shall continue under 103. If you're into other aviation then Mosaic will be a factor.
