Looks like part of this years holiday fun is for those who like to get together at Dockweiler Monday afternoon the 22cnd. I will be planning to make a qualifying flight for the 50 year club. So if you have some holiday week time we're planning on being there. Bring an old glider that you would never fly higher than you care to fall. I'm bringing a 70s Condor. There's talk of maybe a 330 Condor might show.

We were hoping to post this differently and sooner but photo handling problems has gotten in the way. I got back into the air again with a few ground skims. Don't worry I did complete the compulsory ground slams too. No beak ins just belly flairs with sand spray! Bob's gonna post some pics of the day. How about first back in the air again and one of the slams the one with sand spray.
So now I qualify for the 50 year club. 50 years 6 months and still slamming.
I want to thank Ken DeRussy for the glider. I want to thank Bob and Joe Faust for coming out and making this happen.
One thing I would like to say about geriatric ground skimming. The next person to fly down does not participate in bringing the glider up before his flight. Help with other retrieves and be fully ready for the takeoff run. Merry Christmas Ground Slammer

Thanks for reminding me at least my other post I did credit the wheels. So Thanks to Frank Colver for the wheels and the second Condor that was much better in such low winds.
