Dockweiler Tuesday April 7th get together

Postby Ground Slammer » Thu Apr 02, 2026 9:33 pm

We've been watching the wind predictions and Tuesday might be about as good as we may see until who knows when. Afternoon winds straight in at 11. I will be heading north soon so I hope to get the Condor tested before I get to packing. I think Bob and Joe will make it, I always say if you have a old wing you still have but would only ground skim it this is the opportunity.

Weather reports now look like Monday maybe more favorable. More to follow.

I agree, and I think I can make it on Monday. :)

Here's the traditional forecast (at this time) for Monday and Tuesday:

Here's the BlobPlot version of that data (April 6 and 7) adjusted to the main slopes at Dockweiler:

Note that Monday's 10 mph blobs at 11am, noon, and 1pm should work well with the southwest facing slope at the site. So it should be flyable most of the day on Monday.
