US Hawks Hang Gliding Association

Bob, The Hawks sites take sometimes over a minute to answer.
Oz report is slow too but not as much as the Hawks sites.
All other sites answer quickly.
Any thing you can do about this?
Does anyone else have to wait for the hawks site to answer? (load)?

I've been working with my hosting company, and there may have been a denial of service attack taking place. For those who aren't familiar with a denial of service (DOS) attack, it basically means that someone sets up a bunch of computers to all visit a site and swamp its ability to respond. It's not clear if that's what happened, but they are aware of it and I've been told there are things they can do. Let's see if it gets any better...

Also, for future reference, my phone number is 858-204-7499. Please write it down or make a copy in your computer in case you can't get to this page. If you have any problems with the site that seem suspicious, please call me any time day or night. I'll do my best to fix any problems as they arise.

Also, Tad had been reporting problems a few days ago, and I witnessed them myself. So I'm hoping that whatever's been fixed will have solved those problems as well. It's all a learning experience for our new national hang gliding club.

Tad's on dialup so it's not always easy to tell the difference between when things are blazing along and crippled by a DOS attack. So an occasional post on US Hawks status on this thread would be greatly appreciated.
