I learned to fly at Wilson Reservoir, near Lucas. While the hills around the lake are now used by RC glider fliers, I haven't heard of anyone HGing there for a long time. I'd like to go fly the place someday, just for sentimental reasons.

It could be that the LZ is too small for modern kites, but it was good back in '76.

Speaking of a curse on Kansas, I see that Jim (Blindrodie) Gaar, has offered some 'behind the scene' info to the prospective pilot from Lawrence Ks. on one of the censored sites.

I say behind the scene because Jim Gaar is actively exercising a forum blackout of hanggliding news and info wheras it comes to myself.. a former flight park co-partner that had his partnership (as well as personal property) basically stolen by the "partnership".

Jim Gaar doesn't want the facts of the downfall of the flightpark to come to light as it doesn't follow the basic story he likes to promote.

Jim Gaar does most of his dirty deeds 'behind the scene' because he's too much a coward to spead the lies out in the open. He's a spoiled brat son of a lawyer.. nuff said.

My original intent in writing this message (before I got sidetracked) was to try to get help in connecting with pilots in the Kansas City area that have come along since I've been on an extended flying hiatus.
I don't know who is left. I think most of the old timers have moved on.
There was very little support for the flightpark after I was kicked out.

So I want to connect with anyone that may be traveling to Lookout Mountain in the near future, new or old pilot, that might be able to tow a small trailer/stationary winch on the return trip.

Many know that I am banned from posting on the two commercial forums and ex-flightpark-partners have me blocked out of local forums.

It seems that some people just don't want to hear what I have to say and they don't intend for others to hear it either.

What I want pilots in Kansas City to hear now is an offer for fuel money to tow this trailer back to KC from Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga.

If someone that isn't yet banned from any pertinent hang gliding forums would be so kind to post a notice of free gas money or something of the like, I would be so apprecative.

If anyone feels that doing so could jeopardize their posting privileges then you can see the problem of how greed and unwarranted power can destroy the growth of hang gliding.

If Jim Gaar, Doug DuBois or Len Smith have anything to say on this matter, speak up.
So far this forum is uncensored. Stand up and say something in your own behalf or people might think you have something to hide.
