Davis Straub, calls himself a journalist.
There are still a few real journalist and "kook" Davis Straub, is not one of them.

How it should be done..

As low as journalism has devolved to these days, Davis Straub stretches the meaning to call himself one.
At best, Straub is a self interest blogger that promotes himself and profits from data mining sales and inside deals.

At worst, Davis Straub is an owned presstitute that cowardly sells out his country shilling packaged globalist propaganda engineered by Malthusian social engineers that seek to control the earth.

Straub is the opposite of a fair and unbiased journalist when it comes to any topic, from social/political OR even hang gliding.

It speaks to Davis Straub's basic dishonesty to call himself a journalist.

In the past, Davis Straub has implied that he is a faction in the "new" media.

Ok, blogging is part of that but Davis still plays by the old media rules:
Closed, agenda driven, biased, censored and aimed at a dumbed down populace.

Here is an real example of new media:

I learned about Davis Straub when I tried to debate Bill Helliwell for the Region 3 elections. Bill needed a "friendly" place to post where he wouldn't be asked any hard questions. Davis gave it to him. He removed my posts where I was challenging Bill to answer questions like open voting by the USHPA Board. Davis not only moved my posts to a "special area" off the beaten path, but he banned me from the Oz Report Forum when I had the "audacity" to challenge him. Eventually my posts were deleted altogether to complete the cover up. Go ahead and ask Davis where my posts were that challenged Helliwell.

Why did Davis do that? My personal opinion is that he wanted to be at the table where competition decisions were being made. He "earned" his seat at the table by helping to defeat me.

If politics is this dirty in a little hang gliding association, I can't even imagine how bad it must at the national presidential level.    :problem:

Davis isn't exactly on my favorites list, at this time.

I heard that he has given up his efforts to use the name "TexasOpen" and apply it to the HG meet TSSS in Luling, Tx.

That meet was granted U*sanction titled "Texas Single Surface Shootout". Then Davis tried to change the name, :problem: :wtf: and pimp off the success that we had
here in Southwest Tx, where the TexasOpen began in 2002.

Did anyone see any posts about this on Ozforum yesterday? I missed it. Don't see anything new.

Here it is, off the Report.

The 2012 Texas Shootout
Thu, Nov 3 2011, 10:39:26 am PDT
Name change to keep the peace in Texas
Sam Kellner, who used to run the Texas Open Fly-in in Leakey, objected to the name Texas Open so the name has been changed to keep the peace in Texas.

Heck, I don't object to the name TexasOpen. In fact, the event we organized since 2002 is titled, TexasOpen.

"Name change to keep the pease"??? :srofl:
The Luling event was sanctioned with one name, THEN changed to include TexasOpen.
Davis' reporting not exactly "media accuracy".

Hooray for Sam!!

   :D

Good for you for standing up for what's right ... and winning!!

As for Davis changing the name to "keep the peace" ... sometimes you have to let people retain some shred of their pride in order to allow them to do the right thing. It's a small price to pay. ;)

Again, very good for you Sam. You're my new hero!!!

Davis Straub = yellow journalism.

Davis Straub, has a cub reporter's badge but he doesn't believe in the basic professional code of ethics of journalism.

https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Journalism_ethics_and_standards

While various existing codes have some differences, most share common elements including the principles of — truthfulness, accuracy, objectivity, impartiality, fairness and public accountability —

Journalist, Davis Straub, fails every element of the basic journalistic code of ethics.
He lies to say the he is fair and balanced. He lies to claim he is a journalist.

The U$HPA has a code of ethics too.
Interfering in an election and being a big fat lying cheat should be covered, if I remember correctly.
Any currently paid up member$$$ could make a formal complaint. The more the merrier.
Force the borg to rule on it.
Sanction Davis Straub.

It's dirty everywhere. Mainstream media "journalists' have made a mockery of the term "journalist."
That's what's so funny about Davis calling himself a journalist.
It's a joke to begin with.

The mainstream media is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the military-industrial-pharma complex and the chemically lobotamized public is the target of mind control. Every 'reality ' is created for you. Buildings can be made to disintegrate before our very eyes, against the laws of physics and we say, 'physics, schmizics.. the gubermit woodn't lie to us...'

Here's history of how the media was censoring and smearing Ron Paul, back in 2007.

Ron Paul distortions and smears
What are the motives behind calling the doctor and longtime congressman "crazy" and distorting his record?
By Glenn Greenwald

Glenn Greenwald, is a real journalist. One of the best.
He wrote about it in 2007. The establishment is very afraid that Ron Paul will catch on.

They don't want people with half a brain to find out about Ron Paul.
They might just wake up if they do and the real revolution will begin.

That's why they smear and distort Ron Paul.
Davis did it in 2007.

"Fruitcake" and "kooky" was about as deep as the yellow journalist Straub, could muster in terms of political comment. Like a coward, Davis Straub even blocked the name "Ron Paul" out of member's content.

Davis Straub is a festering pimple on the presstitute's butts that Glenn Greenwald, writes about.
http://www.salon.com/2007/11/12/paul_3/

Four years later it's not looking any better.
Thanks to slimeballs like Davis, our country and the world is worse off than if the public were better informed.

Sanction Davis Straub!

Yellow Journalism

Slimey Fox journalist taking a cheap pot-shot at Ron Paul, (in 2008 debate) when at the same time the best that faux journalist Davis Straub could muster was cheap (cowardly) censorship.

Davis Straub has nothing to say about war/economy?

Davis Straub has been wrong about everything all along.
Now he has nothing to say? ... another case of yellow journalism..

Ron Paul is proven right.
Predictions from a decade ago..

This video quotes Ron Paul's speech on the house floor in 2003, in which he predicted the housing bubble, the subprime crisis and the credit crisis.
