Hey Bill,
That was pretty cool!!!
In fact, I thought it was so cool, that I wrote a Java program to run that same simulation and generate an animated GIF file:

For some reason, it doesn't rotate as fast here as it does when I display the GIF on my local computer. Hmmm....

something not mentioned in the article:
When sqinking, so that the blue crosses are partially blanked, then I see the yellow dots continuously. Full gaze gives the disappearing act. So, in flying, perhaps: blink, squink, close eyes for reopening, change targets and return. That lurking UFO may return!
