Landings should be interesting.

Reminds me of the early glider pilots who jumped out just before they crashed.

I think I was in 4th grade when I learned that jumping off the back of a bicycle going down hill at a good pace was a bad idea. It seemed to me (as a 4th grader) that I should surely be able to just run fast enough to keep from falling on the pavement.

As a little kid, I used to think if I was falling out of the sky while standing on a grand piano (I must have got that idea from Donald Duck comics) that I could jump off just before it hit the ground and walk away. It never occurred to me that in freefall, I would be weightless and unable to stand on the piano or jump "up" from it without pushing it down. The concepts of Newtonian physics and the acceleration of gravity were still some time off in my future.
