I can see the advantages of better being able to communicate and coordinate planning with other clubs/resources.

Makes it easy to reach out to SW group and RGSA to coordinate flying.

Merry Christmas to all!

The Guads are always a blast and Presidents Day comes at a time when airtime is much needed but I have promised myself not to go in 2014. I am trying to save my powder and planning for some miles when the season turns on!

As Charlie said, this may be the dawning of a new day ... and maybe even a new era ... for our sports. Thanks to the AFFA for considering joining us!!

Hi Bob,
AFFA has dropped its Web Board (that used the same software as this). Therefore I think it is time to make a permanent home here at the Hawks. I will present the idea to our group at the next meeting.

Be sure to follow our Texas pilots as they compete at the nationals in Big Spring next week! They are:

Jeffery Bohl
Mick Howard
Michael Williams
David Williams
jeff kannard
ROBERT FISHER
Robin Hamilton
Daniel Jones
Chris Zimmerman
Nathan Wreyford

I feel sure they will represent us well.

Fly safe,

Charlie S.

It will be a good move to the US HAWKS, Charlie.
Good luck to your pilots at the BS Nationals. (That didn’t sound right  )
If you can -- keep us posted here as the week develops.

Hi Charlie,

If you have a lot of history that you'd like to preserve, please save any information from your old site. I can't make any guarantees, but I can try to integrate it into your forum so that everything is there. It might take me a while to do that, but I can only do it if you save the current pages. So if that's important to your club, please try to capture what you can.

Also, if your club needs any testimonials, I think the RGSA and the Southwest Texas Hang Gliders have been pretty happy with the site.

Best wishes, and please write or call any time.

Hi Bill and Bob,
There is a really cool feature of the Big Spring meet. They will be using SPOT to track the top pilots. You can literally follow the comp as it unfolds. It can be real interesting. BJ Herring broadcasted his long flight here in Texas the other day with SPOT. It is a lot of fun to follow along in real time.
