The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon looks like it might be flyable.

The morning starts out light (7mph from the southwest) but picks up to 9mph from the west at 2pm. The direction stays west all day, but the speed drops off to 6mph at 5pm and then down to 3mph at 8pm. In my experience, this particular web site tends to forecast a little light, so it might be just right.

24 hours ago I was in jail.

After winning the court case, I returned to the Gliderport for our Torrey Hawks Second Sunday. I went to the counter to sign in and Robin Marien told me that I wasn't allowed on the property.

Robin Marien called the police and had me arrested (again) for "trespassing" on the Torrey Pines City Park. Again the police gave me the option to leave, and again I asserted my rights to be on the property. Again I quoted from the lease and offered to show it to them directly.

I was charged with trespassing and was in custody from about 2pm to 3am (plus or minus an hour on each end). A friend posted my bail of $1000 and I have another day in court.

I'll post more later in the "Jailed for Taking Pictures at Torrey" topic ...

The generous gifted food that you have so often supplied to people at Torrey for years has been of good quality.
In turn, how was jail dinner? I would hope that San Diego would have provided you with top quality choices
in gratitude for growing pleasant Second Sundays at the public park at Torrey cliffs near the public LZ.

On Second Sundays at Torrey (or any other day) :
To use the air for gliding over the cliffs: no fee is required. Be in the air without paying any fee. And membership in any organization is also not required. The air space over the cliffs is open for gliding by pilots of hang gliders, even hang glider pilots who rate themselves at H29 or H88.

Hi Joe,

I wasn't fed at all in the San Diego jail. And since I was running late, I hadn't yet purchased the Second Sunday food either. I planned to set up my glider first and then go to the store in case someone else wanted to fly my glider while I was shopping. I was released from jail around 3am and hadn't eaten in a long time. I don't think I even ate breakfast on Sunday morning, but I really don't remember any more.
