This is slightly off-topic since it doesn't actually discuss Torrey. But it does shine some light on how dysfunctional the San Diego City Council has become.

Thanks to some good friends, the San Diego City Council got to see the El Segundo TV video today.
I figured they'd seen enough of the nastiness at Torrey, and I thought they'd enjoy a happy video for a change.

For all the times Bob has gone into the San Diego City Council with videos of life at the Torrey Pines Gliderport - well, it never really has been a happy time... But now, he's at the SD CC with a video of how people are treated when they fly in an environment not hostile to hang-gliders. Dockweiller in Los Angeles County.
That was the nicest video I've shown the City Council. It was shown as an obvious contrast to the years of nasty videos I've had to show of the Torrey concession antics. But it didn't fit with Councilmember'Zapf's narrative so now she's going to try to further limit the public's ability to show the Council what's going on in this City. What a sad state of affairs.
