There are no "Ushawks branded greenhouses", and we have no connections to drug cartels.

Furthermore, none of those quotes have any relationship to the Torrey Hawks Hang Gliding Club or the San Diego City Council. I appreciate your participation Doug, but please start new topics for new subject matter. Thanks.

August 24th and 25th, 2026

All 4 Letters of Support for an Advisory Board and a Flight Waiver

Over the summer (and over the past few years) we've been working through local organizations to gain support for both an Advisory Board and a waiver (similar to the Dockweiler waiver). This is the first video (August 24, 2026) where I read portions of all 4 of the recent letters from La Jolla Town Council (2021), La Jolla Shores Association (2025), University Community Planning Group (2026), and La Jolla Town Council again (2026). By the next day (August 25, 2026), I used the sound track from my August 24th speech along with actual images of the 4 letters to make a video. Unfortunately, the City TV staff didn't start showing the actual video feed until part way through my video. It turns out that this was the first time that I used the City's new video submission system. Here's the video taken from the City of San Diego site:

Other Comments

In the early days of my speeches, I pretty much stuck to my main topic. But over the years I've been browsing the other items on the agenda for items where I might want to speak (since I have to sit through the whole meeting anyway). There were three other items on the August 25th agenda that interested me, so I spoke on them as well:
