Tomorrow will be 5 years since Alan Chuculate was killed doing what he loved - flying.

I'm still working on the October Pilot Profile, and I hope to get it out soon. But I'm already looking toward our November issue and I'd like to feature Alan as our first Honorary Member of the Torrey Hawks. Alan was devoted to solving the problems at Torrey long before I came along, and he was instrumental in getting me started down the path that eventually led to the club we all share. So if there are no objections, I'd like to dedicate the November issue to his memory, and I also solicit any stories and photos that you might want to share with other club members as we remember our fallen brother.

The Hawks Board has approved doing a pilot profile on Alan for November of 2010, so I'd like to start gathering photos and stories about Alan. Please post anything of interest to this topic. They may not all make it into the final profile, but anything posted here will be a tribute to Alan's memory.

When we first started the Hawks, we only had 7 members, and Theda volunteered to be our first Club Secretary. I'm sure Alan was smiling with approval. :thumbup:
