I was thinking about how that grass at the LZ must be slippery. Sometimes I take my stunt kite out on strong Santa Ana days down to Mission Bay with a piece of cardboard. A regular 4' two line kite can drag you around some.

So I'm thinking, you know those kiteboards? On a day with a strong east wind, they could slide down the grass off the cliff with their boards and fly out to the ocean.

These are things I think about when bored.

I've had a lot of fun kiteboarding in Mission Bay and in the Columbia River Gorge. But the wind in the Gorge is something to really respect!!!

Bored or ... Board?      ;)

I've been going up to Dockweiler pretty regularly for some fun beach flying. Let me know if you're interested some time and I'll be happy to introduce you to the Friends of Dockweiler Club. They're some super folks, and I think you'd have a good time.

Bob
