I was just having a conversation with Eagle, and it reminded me that the current Torrey Lease (as far as I know) will be expiring in June of 2025 (see 2022 lease). It takes a while for a lease to be put into place, so anyone wanting to bid on it should be getting started NOW. Also, now is the time to start lobbying the Mayor's office and the City Council for any changes in the lease to protect our rights to fly. |

Ok I am a Pilot Who has not Flown in over 14 and a half Years. But it amazes Me to learn that these days down in Southern California that Pilots have to Cow Tow, to take a knee to an Privately owned Enterprise that has made Back Room deals with Elected officals that has had the result of causing this Enterprise to have Control over the Launch down in San Diego is it? I always thought that One Day I would head down to Torrey Pines, where I would set up My Predator and Launch, then make a number of passes up and down the Ridge Line. But now I do not think if I actually was Flying again, I would not make the drive down to San Diego, no, even if I went own to San Diego. I would Fly some other Site to Launch My Predator. No, I have little interest in confronting Corruption regarding Flying. Heck Flying a HG is called; [free-FLIGHT] Is it not? |

Simplify: :No More Leasing Public Parks in San Diego Just stop it. Open park to all. Simple waiver. Let recreation take place. Let surfing occur. Let jumping occur. Let running occur. Let jumping a little higher occur. Let jumping very high occur. Let people fly kites. Let people walk. Let people play games. Let people breathe air. Let people dance. Let people hold hands. Let people help one another. Let people ride bicycles. Let people play tennis. Let people play catch. Let people run with a wing. Let people enter the federal airspace with a high jump or a skip or a hop or a wing. Let''s hold people responsible for their actions. Let us respect adulthood. Let us use the recreational responsibility clauses that are effective over land owners where recreating people stay responsible for their own recreation; let the courts do their job and hold the recreationist responsible for their actions, not the land owner who allows recreation. Let not private business own what is not theirs! Do not lease out San Diego's historical flight treasure; no San Diego citizen should allow such travesty as handing over the park's treasure to money-grabbing recreation-stopping businesses! Just do not lease out what belongs to the people. |

I have 2 priorities: 1) Low death rate at the site. 2) Maximize San Diego tourism revenue. Could Eagle Paragliding handle the site specific requirements with all of the drone r/c traffic? They would need to address this in order to bid. |

Reading the Posts here on this Site, now I do not feel like our Situation up here in Northern California is not the only one that is so unreal. What I'm Saying is: The Rangers do not see it as what it is. They are our Property Owning, Taxpaying Citizens Who are the Owners of the Mountain. Rangers are: {OUR EMPLOYES}. But They do not understand that. was talking about these the reality of the situation up on the Mountain. the Ranger who did not comprehend what His Role was. The Rangers up on the Mountain simply scoff at the idea that They are public servants, the idea that I was one of the: Owners of the Mountain. That thought was simply a repulsive thought. Time to alter the Lass and Rules. My friend a Felow Pilot said: "No Chrid. They think that Their job is to Protect The mountain from US. So, When You have Your Employes operating and acting upon a changed Reality what Do You do? Any ways it is not just You Guys down in Southern California. |
