January 12, 2026 The first San Diego City Council meeting of 2026 was held on January 12, 2026. Ernie was the first person to speak about the Gliderport in the new year: I followed Ernie and read the recent 2025 La Jolla Shores Association letter into the record: |

January 15, 2026 On January 15, 2026, Mayor Todd Gloria gave his "State of the City" speech. I had a video ready for the occasion: Todd Gloria was very crafty. Normally, according to the Brown Act, the public should get to speak prior to any official meeting. But Todd Gloria didn't want people speaking publicly about him in front of a packed house. So he held a second public comment session (in a separate room) prior to his "State of the City" speech. It was a smaller room, and few people attended. But the speeches were part of the City record and can be viewed at the City web site. |

January 26, 2026 We've been getting off to a good start at City Council in 2026. I'll start with the Non-Agenda comments about the Torrey Pines Gliderport by Ernie and myself: It also turned out that both Ernie and I spoke about the Commission on Police Practices. I commented on the City's hinting at restricting access to City Hall for fear of "violence", and Ernie tied the Commission on Police Practices to the Gliderport: Finally, I spoke about the City's Evan Jones parking structure contract with ACE Parking. There has been an ongoing push by ACE to not accept people paying with cash. I have pushed back, and so far, they are accepting cash. But I think it should be a requirement of the contract, and that was my comment: |

February 9, 2026 Joe LaCava set the schedule to put non-agenda comment first, but Ernie was ready and gave a good speech: |

February 10, 2026 Ernie and I both spoke several times during the February 10, 2026 San Diego City Council meeting. It was easiest to keep them all in one video, but I may split them up in the future. |

Joe LaCava has kept his birthday secret. Without that information we cannot prevent his birth. https://www.nbcsandiego.com/video/news/ ... 3/3973757/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_LaCav ... strict%201. |
