Still the discussion period could have been longer.

The cool thing about our system is that any one of us can reopen any topic any time. Just post a new motion. Any of us could even post the same failed motion again either with different arguments or just at a different time. Maybe someone changed their mind? If a motion gets a majority (currently 3 out of 5), then it passes. Easy as pie.

With that thought in mind, I am considering another motion to seek sharing USHPA's rating system. Yes, a similar motion failed a while back, but things change. At that time there was an argument that we might write our own rating system. But it still hasn't been done. Maybe that's a realization that it might be harder than it seems. We've also changed some board members. Maybe we'd get a different result with a different board.

One of the great strengths of our "continuous meeting" system is that we can bring up anything any time. If there's no interest, then there won't be enough votes for a majority. Try again. We don't have to wait 6 months for the next meeting. Just try again.
