So with that thought in mind, I've started this topic for discussions related to customizing the FDGS forum.
A forum style has 3 major parts:
- A Template (mostly HTML with PHP sprinkled through it)
- A Theme (mostly CSS for styling)
- An Image Set (all of the pictures and icons used by the Template and Theme)
Messing with the Template or the Theme can be somewhat complicated, but swapping out images is pretty easy (especially if they're the same size as the originals). So the best approach is to find a Template and Theme that are pretty close to what you want, and then change the images to fit with hang gliding at Dockweiler.
Here are a few examples to look at:

If you go to any of those style pages, you'll see a drop-down menu at the top named "Select a style". If you click on that, you'll find many many more to choose from. It's good to choose styles that adjust their width when you resize your browser window so they'll look good on screens of all sizes. Then try to imagine how you'd change the pictures on each style to fit with Dockweiler. When you find one you really like, we can start to customize it with hang gliding pictures.
How does that sound?
