Thanksgiving Flying

Honoring the rich history and bright future of gliding at Dockweiler Beach

Thanksgiving Flying

Postby Bob Kuczewski » Wed Nov 25, 2015 6:07 pm

Does anyone have any plans or open time for flying over the Thanksgiving holiday?

I'm pretty flexible and it would be fun to see Frank turn his Micro gliding into Milli gliding.    :D

According to the forecast, today would have been another howling day at Dockweiler (similar to last Sunday Funday).

Thursday (tomorrow) and Friday look like more typical "regular flying" days if anyone is interested.

I thought the same thing today, as I finished putting up the Christmas lights in the wind, that it was a day very much like the last Sunday Funday at Dockweiler.

Saturday I head back down to my desert cabin for a week. I just finished installing an electric "mid drive" assist on my Fatback mountain bike (see photo) and I'm itching to hit the desert trails. So I won't be going to Dockweiler.

BTW - I saw an ad on TV for some upcoming LA event and it was called "Sunday Funday". Damn, it's hard to be original these days. :x
