Horizon, spotty interesting clouds, slow-to-serve wind direction, mild finally to 7 mph ... and good company: talk, fly, talk, fly, eat, fly more ... stories, challenges, politics of HG, exploring slightly crossing wind, making new Friends of Dockweiler Gliding Society:
(near end of 2014: artist!

Christa Perciva: 4 or 5 takeoffs, 4 or 5 landings, 3.5 carrybacks (making friends involves sometimes shared carrybacks. She mentioned Noel Dilks and Grace, two other wonderful HG pilots ... about their common training at Dockweiler. Christa seemed to enjoy her flights today.
125 lb ?? on 330 sq ft Condor ! Say, "Float!" Excellent launches. Occupation: Scenic painter
Interests: Fine art, Painting helmets & gliders

Lisa Wendt brought some neat HG stories to the Day. 100 lb HG pilot.

Ken Andrews: congratulations on his winning the regional director's election! He generously took in many of the concerns flying about the Dockweiler site. Thank Ken for listening carefully! Only 20 days and ... and we are putting him to work.

Greg DeWolf: ... again introduced two students to the wonder world of hang gliding! Thanks, Greg, for the day! He caught our error in packing the wing: folding crossbar needs to be in the correction orientation! Repack! Eagle-eye Greg.

Bob Kuczewski:--- probably 6 or 7 takeoffs, 6 or 7 landings, and 7 or 8 carrybacks. He placed camera on wing for catching some flights of several of us; thank you, BobK.

Frank Colver: soon to be 81 ... had 3 fully independent take-offs and 3 landings; "He's Back!" Today, at the help of BobK, he gets to have his first videos of his flights! Earlier era of his hang gliding: Super 8 and stills.

Joe Faust: 14 takeoffs; 14 landings; 18 carrybacks (some for others; he likes the carryback experiences ... adding potential energy to wings and bodies! Before the hang gliding winds came up, I explored two special kites with some fun successes.

U. S. Hawks brought treats and drinks for a meeting by the group where Ken Andrews listened to some concerns. :salute: Thanks, BobK. Yum.
Frank carefully made a super hot sauce from scratch to go with the chips.

Here is the link to the videos of my flights thanks to three very capable camera persons. I never personally had any movies of my flying before, not even Super 8, going back through the years until now. Joe Greblo has offered to critique my techniques (or lack there of) after watching the video. I'm all for that. Please don't make me sit in the corner with a dunce cap on, Joe.
