The electric train Metro Green Line
Choose either Aviation Station or Douglas Station. From either station the BCT 109 bus * can get one to El Segundo near the beach. Then walk west on Grand Ave. to Vista del Mar. Walk then north a bit to the Hang Glider Flight Park.
Caution tip: Be sure to get the BCT 109 that is going to El Segundo, as there are two directions! At the Aviation Station there is a BCT 109 going to LAX and one going to El Segundo. At the Douglas Station, there is a BCT 109 going to Redondo Beach, and one to El Segundo. Take the "El Segundo"-going version!
Tip: On return, maybe you can hitch a ride with fellow hang glider pilot; drive up Grand Ave. to Sepulveda Blvd. Turn right on Sepulveda and get ready in one block to turn left on El Segundo Blvd.. Go east a couple of blocks and turn left and exit car. El Segundo Station; art their is a large paper airplane sculpture. Take Green Line.
