Hmmm....

Now I'm not sure which day is better. Monday is straighter, but Tuesday is stronger.

I'll see what it says in the morning. ;)

The wind mostly matched the forecast ... until it didn't. It was slightly more northerly than predicted, but I was still able to make soaring flights of a few passes. But then the wind shifted hard north and even slightly northeast which didn't match the forecast at all. It was fun while the westerly component lasted. And best of all, the traffic between San Diego and Los Angeles was the best I've experienced in many years. There wasn't a single slow down in either direction.

Overall, it was a fun day!

Well, the National Weather Service seems to have backed down considerably from their earlier forecasts. Here's what they're predicting as of this post:

By the way, you can run the BlobPlot program on many sites (and also enter the coordinates and facing direction of many others) here:

    https://ushawks.org/weather/blobplot.htm

The drop down selector allows you to choose sites, and choosing "Other" is appropriate for entering specific latitude and longitude values as well as an appropriate facing direction. If you have a site that you visit often, please let me know and I can add it as a named site.
