I'm sorry to hear you can't make it Frank. I'll try to make double the flights to make up for it.
Here's the forecast as of tonight. It looks like it might be a nice beginner/intermediate day ... with a reward for advanced pilots at 4pm!!

Joe Faust and I flew my Falcon 195 until sunset. The Condor we'd been using has some minor tears that might get worse with use so it's out of commission.
I was thinking about the idea of the US Hawks and FDGS possibly chipping in to buy a new sail. There are a lot of details to be worked out, but I particularly like the idea of putting our club logos on the sail.
Any thoughts from the FDGS Board members?

Many side stores regarding the Feb. 22, 2016, Sunday Funday:
== Charlie was also a visitor. He indicated interest in hang glding.
== A car of a Friend was opened by an AAA assistant.
== Vegetation on slope causes moguls and some loss of slope integrity. OK now to remove some of the vegetation.
== New sand was smooth by rake and shovel; the sand came from the parking-lot blown sand.
== New sand on slope can be mushy.
== Greg helped visitor get a flight for their rocket kite.
== Greg and JoeF flew a TWTAK together. Greg hung on to one end of the load line; JoeF hung on to the other end of the load line. TWTAK :: tumble wing traverse arch kite. L/D = 1. Wing element came from the side of a hot-dog Styrofoam container.
== Present on slope was a practice set of luggage for a coming 5-ft pack hang glider; flight director asked for the pack to be moved off the slope as soaring hang gliders might hit them. The luggage set came by bus and train to the site as a practice for coming real thing. Attached are the instances of holdings of the mock-up carry in buses, at bus stops, in train.
==BobK had about 15 launches, glides, and landings.
== JoeF had 9 launches, glides, and landings. ( one Condor; eight Falcon 3-195).
== Greg assisted a woman in her first gliding flight ever.
== Greg described to me carefully how legs are great landing gear.
== Greg described how relaxed pulling one's C.G.
