Here is a link to the Glen H Curtiss Museum's web site - < https://glennhcurtissmuseum.org/ >

If you are in the area stop on by and explore the museum! You have to see it to believe it.

It should be mentioned that, like the Wright Brothers, Glen Curtiss also flew gliders before he added power. Joe Faust has pictures that he found on line of Glen Curtiss and company on a hill where I think I have actually stood - over a hundred years later.

Great work guys. People being able to look up and see these gliders is so cool. They can now visualize what hang gliding really is.
I grew up and went to school (6th, 7th, 8th grade) 100 yards from Torrance Beach ramp. David Cronk also went to Parkway elem. School. I remember these
First flyers there in 1969-70. I think Hobie and Jacobs surf board logos were the thing. If you called us hippies, well, we called you hodads, and besides, we were "bums". Ha . What a time that was.
It didn't last long though, the homeowners and real estate developers along the TB cliffs got hang gliders banned, calling it an invasion of privacy. They could not be thwarted though, and places like Dockweiler were WELL flown.
Your work to keep the spirit of hang gliding alive and WELL....... good on ya.
