Great work guys. People being able to look up and see these gliders is so cool. They can now visualize what hang gliding really is.
I grew up and went to school (6th, 7th, 8th grade) 100 yards from Torrance Beach ramp. David Cronk also went to Parkway elem. School. I remember these
First flyers there in 1969-70. I think Hobie and Jacobs surf board logos were the thing. If you called us hippies, well, we called you hodads, and besides, we were "bums". Ha . What a time that was.
It didn't last long though, the homeowners and real estate developers along the TB cliffs got hang gliders banned, calling it an invasion of privacy. They could not be thwarted though, and places like Dockweiler were WELL flown.
