THANKS to Rick, Miguel, and Bill, for your insiteful participation in the formation of our alternative organization. With your help we may GROW the sport, rather than destroy it, and my hat is off to Sam, and Bob for their huge contribution to promoting the sport of hang gliding. I'm certain nothing more needs to be mentionded about the trolls, as thier own posts speak to thier own interests. See you on top, tjm

Troll here, again.

1. There's a lot of this sport that really NEEDS destroying before anybody but an idiot and/or psychopath would try to grow it.

Your 5 second time limit between hook-in check and launch is unreasonably short...

Rick Masters - 2011/10/19

At that moment, I would banish all concern about launching unhooked. I had taken care of it. It was done. It was out of my mind.

Sam Kellner - 2011/11/07

Preflight, Hangcheck, Know you're hooked in.

SamKellner - 2011/11/07

After that first FL flight at Packsaddle, which included gaining altitude above launch and soaring the entire ridge, Al told me the instructor offered him H-1 for $400. or H-2 for $800.

Most common HG injury... spiral fracture of the humerus.

Skyting Criteria

These are Donnell Hewett's original 12 elements of a good tow system. They are as viable today as they were in the early 80's when he wrote them.

Peter Birren - 2009/05/09

If you want a truly foolproof release, it's got to be one that eliminates the pilot from the equation with a release that operates automatically.

Peter Birren - 2008/10/27

So you pull whatever release you have but the one hand still on the basetube isn't enough to hold the nose down and you pop up and over into an unplanned semi-loop.

Jim Rooney - 2011/08/31

This is going to be a bit harsh, but I honestly don't care what you think.
You're not the one making the decisions here.

2. What exactly ARE my own interests? How is anything I'm doing working in my own best interests?
