I really only have a vague knowledge of how the Sport of hang-gliding is doing down south where most of you fly. But up here Hg is hurting. but every so often there is some good news regarding a new Pilot who show's Promise. Just the other day pilot X told me that there is a new Female advanced ratted Pilot Who has been Flying Mount Diablo. It is real nice to see a new Female Pilot Flying. In My My Mind there is no reason that Women Hang-Glider Pilot's can not Thrive. I have talked about My Sister Kathleen, The Demon becoming a good Pilot. Both John, and X agree that She should be able to be a good Pilot, Yea Baby. I see re-erecting hang-Gloding by encouraging One New Person, Piot, then another, and another. Etc. Etc.

To Craig and everyone else;

I mean it, why couldn't we as HG Pilots tape this vastly Untapped Resource. i mean from what I have seen as to Female Pilots Who have Flown. The Female Pilots, granted their Numbers are quite small. But They have tended to be quite competent Aviators. But I believe that I pointed out one "Rookie Pilot" that John was instructing. I believe Her Name was Anna, Well if here name was Anna. Anna was the Newbie Hang Two Pilot who was up on a ridge, was instructed on what She should do, and went on to launch off the Ridge, But what Anna had been instructed to do. Anna completely went out the Window. For Anna failed to be able to locate the LZ. Even though She was shown where to land from Launch. Anna missed the LZ by forty Forty Four Milles! But one Should not judge all Female Pilots based on this this lone Female Pilot's inability to Follow directions regarding a {FLIGHT PLAN}

No there are just do many examples of how Female Pilots have demonstrated how they can Fly, and Fly very well. I love hearing that up here in the SF Bay Area, there is a new Female HG Pilot Flying The Devils Mountain who is A a Woman. And B; has potential. This great to Hear. We just need to encourage more Women to Fly.

Is it very likely that such differences are limited to physical characteristics?

I just want to point out the obvious. Women can, and have been good Pilots. Granted I can think of a couple of outstanding Female Pilots who have Flown HG's. I also know of at least Two Female Pilots who have gone to the Dark-Side, Paragliders. Yes I believe both Tammy, and Kari have gone to the Dark-side. The only legitimate reason that I can cite as to why Females should not Fly HG's would be their inability to know where they are going. I think of Anna. Anna aS i believe that Anna was a Hang two at the time when doing a short Flight landing, Anna missed the LZ by 44 Miles! FORTY FOUR FOUR MILES! That is performance that is beyond being a poor Flight.

But Women Pilots such as Tammy, and Tammy, and I also have known a couple of other good Women Pilots.

We just need to attract, inspire more women that want to earn their Wings.

So anybody have any ideas as to How We can get women interested?
