U.S. Hawks site under attack

Hello Fellow Hawks,

I'm just writing to report a recent attack on our web site. For the past few days, we have been flooded with fake viewing requests. The source of the attack has not been fully determined yet, but we have taken some steps to repel the attack. The fact that I could even post this message is a good sign that it may be working.

Special thanks to everyone who contacted me by phone, text, or email to let me know about it. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. Thanks for paying that price.

Sincerely,
Bob

Update:

The countermeasures seem to be working to some degree, and the site is at least reasonably usable. You might still get an error message from time to time. If that happens, just try refreshing your browser. In most cases, you will usually stay logged in, and can continue from there. It may take a few refresh attempts, so try it and wait a few seconds to see if the page comes back. If you've done a lot of writing in a post, it never hurts to copy the text and save it somewhere else before refreshing or pressing "Submit". That's always a good idea!

I'm still looking into the causes of this attack.

Thanks to those who have offered suggested help ... you know who you are!    :salute:

Thanks again to everyone who let me know about the problem. I contacted the hosting service and we seem to have gotten it mostly resolved.
