That was August of 1975. I took my brand new Eipper-Formance Flexi Flier 17 foot standard Rogallo wing down there from northern New Jersey and had the time of my life.  I still have snap shots of me flying there. I'll have to find where I've put them up here and insert a link. Oh, and John Harris bought a waterproof camera that I turned into a special one-off sand and waterproof PHOTO-POD for him. The PHOTO-POD, for those that don't know, was kind of a still frame 35 mm film camera version (that I created in the late 1980s and early 1990s) of the now famous Go-Pro (Long before the Go-Pro was imagined). A PHOTO-POD of mine took my "avatar" high above Telluride, CO. I think John used his PHOTO-POD to get shots of tandem students flying above the beaches of NC. The students could then buy the photos to show their friends what they had done that summer!
