Artificial Intelligence - The Greatest Threat

One of my early neural network jobs gave me the opportunity to meet many of the early pioneers in the field. One of those early pioneers was Bernard "Bernie" Widrow. Bernie came to our lab in the 1980s and gave us a clear demonstration of his ADALINE neuron. Sadly, Bernie passed away on September 30, 2025, but this video is similar to the demonstration that he gave us nearly 40 years ago.

That's the opening sentence from Jack London's "Call of the Wild". I am reminded of that line as I see us racing toward our own obsolescence.
