Yes, the pictures are with the text on the HG history section. This was just a posting in the general section to inform that the pics are in the history section because I don't think it gets checked very often in browsing the forum.

Hi Frank and Friends,

I noticed that you posted in two places, and I didn't want to butt in. But since the missing pictures caused some confusion, I'll make a suggestion.

As the forum operator I have the "magic power" to make a topic appear in two forums at once (I don't know how to do 3 or more yet). So sometimes it makes sense to have a topic appear in say, Hang Gliding General and Friends of Dockweiler at the same time. I often do that so that a topic in a local club site can get national coverage as well.

We don't really have a policy for how and when to do that (and maybe we should), but for now, if anyone has a topic that they'd like to show up in two places just let me know.

When I saw Frank's post in two places, I thought about suggesting that I merge them and have them appear in both places, but (as I said) I didn't want to "butt in". So Frank, since you started the topics, I'll merge them if you'd like, but not if you'd rather not.

Just let me know.

Some time ago BobK and I discussed our individual method of "browsing the forum".

If I remember correctly, Bob said he clicks on Hot Topics, and goes from there.

What I do is go to New Posts, under Options. No matter what sub forum a topic is posted on, everything comes up.

Generally that gives me time to browse all the posts since my last visit, most efficiently.

How that differs from selecting Hot Topics? I'm not sure. What say You, BobK, with all your "magic powers"?

I think the "Hot" topics are ones with lots of recent posts and it will generally show those same hot topics to everyone. I think the "New Posts" are the posts that are "new" for each member. So posts that you've read will not be new to you any more, but they will still be new to me. I think that's how it works.

By the way Sam, I still have the Otto 45 T-shirt that you ordered. By the time I actually send it, it might have become a collector's item.
