"COOL!"

That's the reaction of San Diego lifeguards if offered the opportunity to work overseeing the Torrey Pines Gliderport. Park Rangers - the same thing. The City's response is, "no one wants to work there" when in fact, the opposite is true. Why the lies? If the Gliderport was paying city taxes to run that site (which they are not), then the city would have the funds to pay for lifeguards and rangers to oversee that site. So, why isn't this happening? Why is the city not taking advantage of this?
