Hi Al,

I don't know about that site, but Sam has been keeping pretty quiet about Garner State Park. I think that's his real hidden hang gliding stash site. ;)

Check out this topic:    http://ushawks.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=101

Here's a picture of what I think Sam's really hiding out there in Leakey Texas!!    :)

Al, Bob,

You are doin' a great job  . I'll check the lat&long and see where that is. Not sure yet. Does look like a good site. I think between Campwood and Barksdale.
I never chased down the contact/owner. On hwy 55? Most of the WRE flights go right over. Not hiding my secret footlaunch for sure. That type are a-holes. And I sure have spent time driving and hacking brush just west of there, but it never panned out.

And Garner State Park will happen if we can get an instructor here as a member of SWTHG. There are very recent developments in/near that area that would make a super flight park. I have been a little hush about this. :shh: Not sure how to approach the situation. Flying this site could be possible  . Garner is the most visited state park in Tx. At least one footlaunch site exists in a Tx. state park, near El Paso.
I talked with ushpa site committee about Garner, earlier this year. Not sure if any action was taken.

Again, :o .....WE NEED AN INSTRUCTOR..... :o. A tug would be nice, but PL tandem inst. could stay busy. We need an instructor for Oct 15-31.

The time is right. Since we formed a ushpa chapter I'm getting requests for HG lessons. Groupon? ushpa.aero?
