Jim Rooney:
If you go running off a mountain strapped to a complete stranger in a giant kite, well, if you can't see that that's a dangerous activity… tough s***.

The irony was more than I could resist.

The Press - 2006/03/15
However, he took off without attaching himself.
In a video, he was seen to hold on to the glider for about fifty meters before hitting power lines.
Rooney and the passenger fell about fifteen meters to the ground.

Jim Rooney, not a very good example of a pilot, how long has Jim Rooney been at it now 6 years, or so? He can't top Jeff Hunt or Jack Walters no matter how many hours he has, he still don't know how to hook himself to a hang glider.

Are you talking about the same Jim Rooney who knows that everybody could fly paragliders safely if only they knew as much about flying paragliders as safely as Jim Rooney?
