I've found an Easy Riser for sale locally, for $500 that's been "ultralited" with trike gear and motor/prop.
I'm hardcore into late 70's antique and early 80's ultralites, and the Easy Riser was one of the first hang gliders to have a motor attached to it to make it a "flat lander"... so an Easy Riser would fit right into my collection of granddaddy forerunner pioneer ultralights.... (Volmer VJ-24w, Chotia Woodhopper)....
I could see myself flying it all three ways.... with trike and motor, without trike, or without trike and without motor (as a pure hangglider).
Opinions and thoughts on it? The Easy Riser in my memory is one of the first hang gliders that came out that had a better glide ratio than the Rogollos...
Of course, for $500, it's a diamond in the rough and in need of restore... so... another project plane for me...
I have a 20ft trailer I built to pick it up ( http://air-war.org/poorgirl/pickuptrip.htm ), and $500 would cost me 10 days of work (so, two weeks) at my little job.
Thoughts, opinions, on the Easy Riser?
