Support for Torrey Hawks Chapter?

Hello Chapter Support Committee,

I recently read the Updated USHPA BOD Agenda at:

     viewtopic.php?p=2686

I read the section on Chapter Support and that you have in interest in knowing what USHPA did (or did not) do to support its Chapters.

In the spring of 2010, the USHPA Board passed my own motion to have the USHPA representative on the Torrey Pines Soaring Council work to improve our representation. Our club (Torrey Hawks Hang Gliding Club) has been applying for admission since the September of 2007. USHPA has had a voting representative on that Council for all that time. Yet the USHPA representative has never presented a motion to the Council to add our club, and has not taken any of the steps needed to carry out the USHPA directive.

I'd like to know exactly what you will do to correct this.

If it wasn't for the paramedic's and Wales Air Ambulance i'd be dead,i spent 5 months in hospital and my injuries in total were.
Brain haemorrhage
Permanent blindness left eye
Broken jaw
Two teeth knocked out
Crushed chest
Broken pelvis/ three places
Broken femar left leg/compound
Broken femar right leg
Broken tib and fib right leg
Smashed right ankle/ foot pointing the wrong way
But apart from that i got away with it

t was my second flight on this wing and being a basejumper i couldn't get out of the habbit of flying in deep brakes and i stalled the right side of the wing whilst turning.The head wind speed was about 25mph.

"I accepted many years ago that flying parachutes can cause serious injury, or death" and now i know it will!

I cannot even imagine flying something that, if you stall the inside tip, the wing tip balls up. What a hideous piece of crap! If I stall my tip, I just want to pull in a little and correct it - I don't want to go through what Adrian Key went through. I CAN'T EVEN LISTEN TO IT.

I don't get it. I will never get it. How can anyone be stupid enough to fly this GARBAGE? How could my old USHGA turn into such a sick outfit that it welcomes these deathtraps with open arms? It is unbelievable. UNBELIEVABLE!

Great idea Bob. If they can't tell the membership what's going on,

I could hardly believe that proposal item about creating flying sites , even if it does suggest H-2 instructional sites. Let's see how far that goes?
