If there would have been a "fixed wing" crash on the cliffs "below" the Torre Pines public park, the FAA , NTSB, the S.D. Police, the search and rescue teams, the fire department, HASMAT, air craft salvage operations, and possibly the FBI, would have been on scene immediately and .fully documented the accident, and after careful review would have made public their findings. Of course a hang glider or paragliding accident would not require such a massive response, but full documentation and public disclosure is mandatory just the same. If all the facts are covered up by the ACA, they must feel liable. The city council has paid absolutely no attention to Bob and (few others, shame shame) of the many, many, many........... accidents at Torrey City Park. (Or should I say in the airspace beyond the city park, which is why nothing is done. (who owns the air space?? ) (no one) God forbid someone is on their leased property, or fly with out a "permitt", that they don't like, well...... it's off in handcuffs, with a full report on that. The insurance co and lease holders should be the ones off in handcuffs. Torrey Pines Glider Port is on the National Historic Register, and in my humble opinion, they would be embarrassed to see their good name besmerched, by a "company council" who could obviously care less. To me, city council, and their cohorts are nothing more than a bunch of "Tippers", and From my vantage point up here, I can stay "focused". Bravo Bob for all you do for us. (As in us hawks).
