by 1970 the hand made skate boards, became hand made hang gliders' . But this was just stuff to do when we weren't surfing. Torrance and the south bay was the "perfect storm"

Somewhere over the rainbow in this picture, my friends Jim Guest (RIP), Bob St. Onge, Clint Wolf, and John D. Launched they're gliders into the air, and landed in town park at the end of the rainbow. Date of launch June 1972, date of picture June 1990.
