GPS verification works good to rate second and third place finishers that land short of goal out of sight of ground officials.

Also Rich Phiffer (sp?) argued successfully on my behalf to give me distance points for making goal 30 minutes after the landing gate closed. Even though I made goal I was scored as though I had landed one foot short of goal.

OK I just have not given Much thought to Pilots who might land short of Goal. But Maybe I should. Some sort of GPS tracking system Might be a good idea. I was just thinking of how to Verify When A Pilot landed at Goal. The way I could verify if a Pilot Made Goal might be to have a Person go to the Given Field where the Pilots are to land, set a Cone. Sit down and watch each Pilot land. That way I could also verify how each Pilot either did or did not whack their landings. For whacking is a no no. Yes if a Pilot should fly the hundred miles the fastest 100 Mile flight then only to Blow their landing by whacking. Then Said Pilot will not win the XC contest.

I intend on making a donation of at least $500.00 Dollars to the winning Pilots Club of their Choice. I will also give the Driver for the winning Pilot $50.00 towards gas. Gas.

OK The first place that I am putting this proposal on will be the USHAWKS Web-Site. So I really do not expect many of the Hawkes to make the Trek to Northern California. But who knows? Maybe I will have the opprotunity to meet some of you Hawks. Check this aspect out regarding Flying XC from Mount Diablo. A 0ne Hundred Mile XC flight is a very doable thing. It will just come down to how fast that you can fly. The one Caveat is as I said earlier in this Post, Don't Whack, Thou shall not Whack! Come on every one come fly, Fly XC for Your Club.

You Guys need to know that what has been happening in my Life really did prompt me to say to Bob regarding my physical recovery I told Bob that it really is not the case with Me being [Woe is Me], it is like this; [Wow is Me] I was talking to John Heieney one day regarding my speculation regarding when I would be 100% recovered. John replied; "Chris with You being 100 percent recovered, that is a Big number". I hear comments from Pilots such as "Chris you keep doing what you have been doing, you recover" or this I liked; "Were rooting for You" Who the Heck knows? Maybe someday one of You guys and I will both be experiencing a case of Cloud-Suck together as We both thermal up to Cloud-Base.

Wello I never got to a 300 Lb. Body weight. I do remember seeing My scale rejister 297. Yes I was oh so close to 300 Lbs. But close was aS far as I got. I am 6'3" tall. currently My Body weight is posed to hopefully drop below 200 Lbs. My Goal, actually call it My fantasy at this point is to get down to 185. Yes 158 Lbs. Flying My 158 Predator, can You say Climb Monster? There are Flights that I still want to achieve such as Flying One Hundred Miles in under Four Hours. I want to do for Me anyways. I want to do My first ever XW Flight. XW stands for cross Water. I want to do this type of a Flight safely, well as safe as possible. I have already contacted a Tug Goat company that is willing to pull, or will it be to Push a Barge below Me. Call the Barge My floating LZ.

For if I were to have to ditch in the open ocean, can You say Death by Drowning? Yes a floating hard Deck would give me an potentially dangerous LZ option.

The way I see it there must be Thermals out over the ocean correct?

I have always been a Go For it Pilot. But I do have My Limits. An XW Flight could be so cool. But I need to have an option below Me. I have My Limits regarding being willing to Go for it.

Well Maybe by the fact that My proposed idea of My having another Fly-In up here at Mount Diablo really has not gained any traction regarding interest voice by Pilots. Maybe this Broken down, Busted up Predator Pilot should try and find another way to stay involved in Hang Gliding.

But I think some of what I have outlined regarding My Fly-In should generate some interest. But then again maybe not. So why don't You Guys think about coming up North and Flying. Remember it is a chance that you all will have to Fly have fun flying where if You say win My Out fifty Miles, Return, and nail the Spot Landing Contest. That way You will be able to inrich your Clubs Coffers.

The sport of hang gliding is dying. It needs help.

There are a number contributing factors. Some of these factors are easier to attack than others. If you have time, energy, and money to help hang gliding, then I suggest that you consider looking at those factors and decide which ones you can help reverse.

You know I read these posts stating things such as; The Sort of Hang Gliding is Dying, Pilots are doing things to split the Sport of Hang Gliding, How things should be done to repair the Sport. Then here I am trying to generate interest in My possible next Fly-In. I have spelled out how I will be combining tasks such as out and return routes with having Pilots doing spot landings up on the Mountain, up at the LZ that is Merely AQ short walk from the Juniper Ridge LZ. Please take note; The Juniper Ridge MUST REMAIN WHACK-FREE. But at present there seems to be no interest in My Fly-in. Come on Guys and Gals. Come up here to the San Francisco East Bay area. Fly in my Fly-in. Win My contests. Then I will award Cash prizes to the HG Club of Your Choice. In other words; Help Me Help Your HG Clubs.

Watch this video and see how Leo uses Choreography of music and motion to totally enhance his project. I think that the clubs could use their skills to make their own videos, and use them to inspire young pilots to choose their way of training, whether it be "fly-ins", tow up gliding, or ground handling a Hang Glider in higher winds, or just having fun being around these superb flying machines. Bob could help in his, "spare time". .ha.. because he is such a good editor of subject matter. Good videos would also be a great way to generate "funding" for your project, what ever it is. I have been following Leo since his first video and watched him progress into, not only a "boat builder and a sailor", but a mighty fine videographer as well. He started out with no money or help, but now has generated a great following, and mucho $$$ along the way.
This can be done all, so get with great music and great videos and great editing, to richly inspire others, unlike ushpa, who only have harsh words, and censoring, for the Hang Gliding community

Here is a challenge Chris, write a song, video and edit yourself, playing your acoustic guitar, to show people how inspired you are to fly your Predator again, on your amazing journey. Doesn't have to be fancy or "longwinded",
(well at least we have the wind), to tell a story.

Hello everyone:

Most of You have never met Me. That really does not matter much. Trust Me when I say that I was/Will be once again a pretty good Pilot. Looking back at what happened to Me on March28th. 2010 it is truly amazing that I have been able to recover to the Degree that I have. No I am not what I would call 100 percent recovered. John said to Me one Day; "Your One Hundred Percent is a very large number. Well as of now January 2022 I can say that the Day when I am back to feeling, moving, and thinking like I used to is coming.
