The first time I saw John looping from the air was at Lake Elsinore maybe a decade ago. I was quite a bit higher than John when he started his dive and I was terrified that he was too low to complete the loop. Of course he wasn't, but I'll never forget watching that particular loop from the air.

BBCode Tags are like bookends ... you need two of them to work properly. Consider:

There are old pilots and bold pilots.

Here's what you add (shown in red) to make the word "bold" be bold:

There are old pilots and [b]bold[/b] pilots.

Here's how that shows up in the forum:

There are old pilots and bold pilots.

The tags ( [b] and [/b] ) are like "bookends" around the word "bold".

Our forum software also has a number of formatting buttons:

These buttons can sometimes help, but they can also be confusing.

For example, if you click the "B" button without any text selected, you'll find the bold tags (bookends) inserted somewhere in your post:

      [b][/b]

In that case, you can just enter what you want between the tags:

      [b]bold[/b]

But you can also select some text in your post first, and then click the "B" button to add the tags (bookends) around your selected text.

You can use whichever method is most convenient at any time.

As with playing a guitar or flying a hang glider, it really helps to practice.

By the way, we have a primitive glider designer program here on the U.S. Hawks. Here's the link:

      https://ushawks.org/designer/

The U.S. Hawks Glider Designer page looks like this:

That page let's you enter various dimensions for a glider and then it will draw it for you in 3D. The design data can be exported and saved to make a Blender model.

Ok I know that I must appear like some sort of Poser. For here I have this outstanding Fast, Glider that goes like a raped Ape. Yet I do not Fly it. The way I see it, heck I am getting very good at setting it up and taking it down. I am hopping that tomorrow I will actually be able to take some of the Measurements that Bob requested. it seems funny to me. For here I have the Hottest, Fastest King Posted Glider. I do not even Fly it. Yet I want to tweak it to make it faster. I mean what a Glider, what a design! I just can't wait to once again fly My Predator.

I met John on Gold Hill launch site in, "To Hell You Ride", Colorado, in 1978. He then proceeded to pop smoke, and 6 loops and a casual wing over later, dropped his Predator into one of the tuffest LZ's in the world, Telluride Town Park.
His mentorship, and friendship for the other fliers that day was, and is, a tribute to all of HangGliding.
His videography and training videos are unmatched, and a model for all people who would dare to, "not be a hamburger".

"New Pathways", Chris, and old friends that you can count on.
I am glad to get to know you on the pages of USHAWKS.
I too, had my brain "pounded" in 2011, by falling slabs of granite on a construction site, (the most dangerous places on the planet), which ended my 40 year career as a Master Plumber, and am making new brain pathways. Having the inner ear all messed up changes everything, but there are some good exercises for Vertigo.

Well Yes it is the case with My Brain. It is rewiring itself, as I am sure that You are aware of the word plasticity comes to My Brain when I think about My Brain. I too am quite fond of John. I am so eager for the Day where John and I will both be in the same thermal working the Thermal for as much lift as we can muster. What a Day that Day will be!

I believe that all of us can recall back when We each were on the training Hill about to launch for the first time. How it felt having the harness straps draw tight as we hopefully we strided, then estended our strides into a run. then we left the ground for the first time in our lives. I believe that I will feel that sensation times Fifty when I as of now it has been 11 Years 6 months now. I will be feeling that feeling , times fifty.
