Write in Dennis Duvall for Region 3 Director

Postby Bob Kuczewski » Wed Sep 29, 2010 9:29 pm

Write in _Dennis_Duvall_ for Region 3 Director!

I'm marking my Region 3 ballot for write-in candidate Dennis Duvall. The USHPA Board needs someone like Dennis to shake things up. He's already demonstrated a willingness to take on the status quo at hanggliding.org, and he didn't do too bad of a job - considering what he was up against.

Since there's only one candidate on the ballot, why waste your vote?

Make a statement by writing in Dennis Duvall!!

RD election – only Reg 2 has more than 1 candidate. All other regions are unopposed…..why?

Why send out an election form to everyone if only one region has more tha one person who wants to do it?

One reason that I didn't run is that USHPA passed a new rule that any Director who has been recalled (even without cause) is prohibited from being a Director for 2 years. Whether you like me or not, this is a stupid rule. A recall election is just an election. The loser didn't do anything wrong other than lose to another candidate. This stupid rule would be equivalent to saying that any candidate who loses an election is prohibited from being a Director for 2 years.

With that kind of stupidity ruling the USHPA Board, I've decided to devote my energy to building new organizations and that's why I founded the HGAA and the US Hawks. Hopefully one of them (or maybe both) will finally give us some choice in the marketplace to improve both (or all three) organizations.

Having said all of that, I'm writing in Dennis Duvall anyway. Dennis would be the "kick in the pants" that USHPA needs, and maybe he could win with a surprise write-in campaign. Let's start the chant: Dennis. Dennis. Dennis.

I guess the assimilation of John Wright is complete now...

In a topic advocating a dog for Region 3 Director, remmoore showed some common sense ....

I don't get it. Your opposition found someone (an actual human) to run against Bob in that "election" stunt, and he won. Regardless of whether the dog is more qualified than the current guy or not - you couldn't get a person to run against him?

The other side had enough outrage to find a human to nominate - sounds like the best you can muster is to play Roll Over. surrender

First of all, Brad Hall was Jebb's lap dog. Second, Bill Helliwell is not Blossom Bill. Third, "Sporer" is spelled as "Sporrer". Three strikes and John Wright is out.

But as a more substantial display of John Wright's ignorance, he has completely ignored the fact that none of those Region 3 Directors will support letting their members (that's us) know how they vote for us on the USHPA Board (none would support the Accountability Amendment for open voting). I guess that's "okay" with John Wright. Pathetic.

I could go on, but it's clear that the HGAA is in the hands of someone (John Wright) who doesn't have a clue about what's wrong with USHPA. So don't expect much from the HGAA under his "leadership".
